My measurements on this shipment are a little off. The dealer measured the width at 8'6" exactly. The overall length is 24' with the trailer tongue. The height is under 7'. But he estimated the weight to be closer to 3200-3500lb with the trailer and fuel. Sorry for the misinformation. Please let me know if you can still work with me. Thanks, Bill

I'm interested. Great price, great feedback. So just checking, my boat/trailer would ride on your flatbed? I just need to have the dealer heat shrinkwrap it for protection, right? You take payment with credit card? Discover? That would make it simple. Still arranging payment to the dealer. Should be done today but the guy is off tomorrow. The boat should ready to ship(after shrinkwrapping) sometime Friday. He also said the boat is fine for a couple of weeks while I arrange shipping. How is your timeline? Would I need to get cargo insurance? Do I need it? Okay that's it. Thanks again for all the help, Bill

Yes! Tied down to our flatbed trailer. We would take payment with credit card thru paypal. If your boat purchase is certain & you simply need to arrange payment, you can lock in the transporter now. We're 3-4 weeks out as indicated in bid details. Our bid expires tomorrow noon. We will have our route complete by then. Our insurance covers for our negligence or our equipment failure. Cargo insurance would cover you for theft, incidental damage ie: flying debris etc. Thanx!! Gary

Hi Bill, W have had terrific luck transporting boats on their own railers as opposed to loading them on our trailers. We find we are able to bid a little more competitively by using the boat's lighter trailer. With this in mind, we prefer to ship the boat on it's own trailer. We are covered up to 150K in damage and can provide a certificate of insurance and our agent's name as needed. If you accept our bid, we will be able to pick up the boat on Tuesday morning and deliver to you in a couple of days. Please tell me how we can earn your business. Scott

Scott, as much as I like the timeline(that would be nice) I'm a little leary of using my trailer for the 3,000 mile haul. The trailer has only a few miles on it, but there isn't a spare tire. If there was a blowout(or worst yet, we cook a wheel bearing) It would have to be fixed in route. I can only imagine the problems with that situation. I would still insist the boat be heat shrinkwrapped for protection on the road, but I'm not sure if that would work if it was towed. I'll have to really think about it. You don't have a trailer that would work? Even if it was a higher bid? Thanks for help again, Bill

HI Bill, I have a 53 foot trailer that this could go on, but there is no way I can send that one, it is entirely too expensive to haul for one boat. It usually hauls 3 or 4 cars and it is actually booked up. It is in LA right now and then going to Seattle. Does the place you are getting it from have the ability to shrink wrap the boat? Scott

Hi Scott, Yes the dealer can heat shrinkwrap the boat completely and professionally. I'll see if he'll sell me a spare tire. It would be nice to get the boat here sooner than later. I take it your trailer won't be headed east in the next few weeks. The next guy is 3-4 weeks out before pickup and he wants me to accept his bid before noon tomorrow. Still thinking, Bill

Hi Bill, I wish I could get it on there for you but I am sure he is not going to be back East for a while. We use a Company Called Central Dispatch.com for cars, and that thing stays very busy. If you want to have it shrink wrapped and pick up a spare, I will see about packing the grease fittings on the wheel bearings for you, and get it to you by next weekend. Scott

I declined your first bid of $2487. Sorry, I didn't realize most of the shippers wanted to tow my boat/trailer behind their truck. Your info reads "can tranport in our trailer at no extra charge. Now this bid is $4500. I'd be more interested if it was closer to the first bid. But I'm actually wondering if the boat will fit inside your trailer. The width of the boat is 8' but it looks like the trailer tires are wider than that. I'll have to call the dealer tomorrow morning and have him measure exactly. Thanks, Bill

The dealer is holding the boat for me. I have to wait until tomorrow(mon.) to start the payment process. Capitol One says it'll take 3 to 5 days for electronic transfer. So, the boat might be ready to ship before 8/25. I'll know more by tomorrow evening. I have received a couple of bids lower than yours, but your feedback says it all. So my questions are: Can you come down seventy?(I'll still get a $100 rebate). Do you want the boat shrinkwraped?(The dealer will charge me $150 to do so. But wanted to know if that's what you need). Also, payment upon delivery? Is that right? Thanks, Bill

So will the boat be on an open trailer? Do you tarp it? If it's in an enclosed trailer I might have some trouble getting it off when it gets here(small docks, small forklifts). No worries though, I'd figure out something. I'm assuming you have a truck on the east coast. How long should it take to get here once it's picked up?( By the way the dealer is open seven days a week). We have a holiday weekend coming up in this time period...I guess I need to decline this old bid so you can change it. Thanks for the help. Bill

Hi Bill,The boat will not be on an open trailer. I will be transporting this boat by towing it behind the truck. I do not tarp any boat that I transport nor do I recommend it. In my fifteen years experience in transporting boats I have found that the only proper way to cover a boat while in transport is to have a custom snap-down cover or a shrinkwrap that is heated to the form of the boat. It will take approximately ten to fourteen days to transport this boat to you after being picked up. Thank you, Qball
