Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Is the trailer registered can it be towed on the trailer with good registration? if it can we can hook it to our cargo van and deliver it for you for $600 due to gas and fees. Let me know 2000cargovanstl (10/29/2007)
Response:
Thank you for your bid; unfortunately, at this time the trailer is not "roadworthy"; needs to be placed on a flatbed and hauled. Thanks again for your interest. Kreg Korinek (10/29/2007)
Question:
Could this be ready before the next couple days? I might be able to haul it if I can get pick up and go. Also can you load this or can we roll it up the ramps? Let me know right away so I can make arrangements. Also price is $700. Thank you, GJ&CJ (10/30/2007)
Response:
The boat is at our cabin - we will not be there until the 8th (and we leave on the 11th). The boat is on a trailer that rolls fine; in the past the hauler has just winched it up the ramps. Without a winch; not sure what we would do? Your price is right about what I thought - so let me know if you can do it. Thanks for your interest. (10/30/2007)
Question:
Shipper: I'm a Missouri based motor carrier interested in your shipment. I do have a few quick questions on the dimensions. Is the 22' the total length of the entire rig...i.e from tip trailer tongue to the most aft part of the outdrive? Secondly, is the with correct and would that be the most extreme outside of the trailer tires? Is there adequate access and space to load & unload for a 60' truck-trailer combination? I'm just trying to determine which trailer I would need to use. I could probably load the 10th or 11th if that would be acceptable. Please review my profile and check my feedback. Note 100% positive with no cancellations. Many other references available outside uShip. You'll also find my DOT & MC numbers in the profile information. I suggest you verify the credentials and insurance of any prospective carrier in accordance with uShip's instructions. Thank you // Don @ SEMO Motor Transport Service (10/30/2007)
Response:
Don: Thank you for your interest. I like your history and credentials. Here is the challenge - I am in Arizona, the boat and trailer are in Camdenton, Missouri at our cabin. The boat is a 17.6' inboard sitting on an old Mastercraft trailer. I am guessing the length is no more than 22' from trailer tip to the back of the boat - at the very, very worse, I would say 23'. The width (outside tire to outside tire) is going to be about 90" or approximately 7'. Again, this is based on my experience with these type of boats/trailers - I just don't have any way of measuring the load until I get to Camdenton on the evening of the 7th. As far as picking the boat up - there is a grocery store about 2 miles from our cabin - it will easily allow for whatever size rig/trailer you bring. I can trailer the boat for a couple of miles and bring it to you there. If you are still interested, please let me know your price and we can go from there. Thanks a bunch. Kreg Korinek (10/30/2007)
Response:
Kreg..I understand the situation. Due to the width I couldn't fit it inside my enclosed or on my open car hauler. I could winch it up on to my 25' flatbed trailer. It is equipped with triple ramps and a powerful winch so loading shouldn't be much of an issue. Maybe just a little time consuming. The problem is that the boat and trailer would be the only thing I could haul on that trailer. Unfortunately, that would impact the price. I would like to do it and I'm sure I can meet your time frame but I couldn't do it for the amount you've indicated. My price would be $833.11. I realize that is more than you may have anticipated. Rather than make a formal bid at this time, I'll monitor your shipment. If you feel you may be interested in my offer at a later time, I should still be available. I'm doggie sitting until the 9th since my wife will be away on business so I'm not really making a concentrated effort to book that timeframe. Thanks again // Don (10/30/2007)
Question:
Sorry about..'is the with correct' ....I intended to type "is the width correct" Thanks // Don (10/30/2007)
Question:
Kreg...just a quick thought. Has it been winterized? The weather has changed significantly here over the past couple of weeks. There have been frost and freeze warnings in that area of MO. If it needs it, perhaps you have someone in the area that could do it before you return to the cabin. I just finished doing my motor home....just in case. I didn't mean to intrude in to your business...it just occured to me. Thanks again // Don (10/30/2007)
Response:
Thanks for the heads up! (10/30/2007)
Question:
Price of $550.00 week of 11-6,interested??? respond asap. thanks (10/30/2007)
Response:
Interested, yes? What type of trailer to you have that can accomodate my boat and trailer? Thanks. (10/30/2007)
