Question: I have carried Canoes before and they take lost of space!! I am driving a 24ft truck. I may be able to bid on it. I may be able to do it for $300. Will you accept the bid? (11/29/2007)

Response: Hi,
The canoe was $350. If I wait I can have it hauled by one of the canoe companies on their trailers for quite a bit less. I would go $150. You are right it does take up a lot of space but I know that sometimes there is room at the top of a load for light stuff, etc. Thanks for the inquiry. (11/30/2007)

Response: I understand. I can't bid until I know I have that maginc wasted space then. Dieel fuel is jsut too expensive. (12/1/2007)

Response: Hi,
Understood. I will accept a bid for $150 if the space is there. How much lead time before pickup can you give me if it goes that way? I will need to call the folks where the canoe is.
The canoe will not be wrapped or crated. It is OK to put other small things in it. My only concern is that it doesn't get damaged but boxes, etc. would be fine - just no "diesel engines" :-)

Response: I am very concious about the value of the canoe regardles of what you pay for it. I transported three from Postadam NY to Edmonton Canada (one priceless) and if O bid on it, I will take good care of it. I wil lgive you as much leeway. as I can. I am now in Arkansas with stopp in TE, VA, DC, MI before I get to you. (12/1/2007)

Response: Sounds good (12/2/2007)

Response: I am in Youngstown, Ohio. I will be going to Ann Arbor MI tomorrow, and unless some bid is accepted, I will be going to MN to deliver a car next so I can pikc up yuor canoe then since I have space. I would like to clear $150 to pay for the detour. (12/7/2007)

Response: That sounds good. $150 is fine. Do you know where Savanna, IL is? My guy might be able to drive it a short distance but I can't say for him. What day would you be coming through the area? Once I know this I will call my guy and accept the bid.
Thanks,
John (12/7/2007)
