Trailer of any kind:
All bids are made from the specs you wrote in your listing. Any boat or trailer of any sort larger or heavy then specs placed on listing may be upcharged to a reasonable amount set by SmoothHaulin. We try to be fair as possible but weight, height, and width all play a role in both fuel cost and permits.
1. Stow all gear, lock all the hatches.
2. Remove the battery, or make sure the selector is off and the batteries are secure.
3. Check around for anything that moves or vibrates. Secure them tightly, even remove
the windshield wipers and duct tape the wiper arms so they don’t scratch the glass.
4. Ensure the boat is sitting properly on the trailer.
1. Inboard/Outboard: Raise the motor all the way up, and either put it in gear, or
remove the prop and grease the shaft.
1. Check the tires for cracks, dry rot, and air pressure and make sure there is a spare
2. Grease the bearings, and check to see if the trailer has brakes.
3. Grease the ball hitch.
4.WE CAN ALSO PROVIDE THIS SERVICE.
PETS: All pets must be current on all shots. Please have a collar for your dog. Owners are responsible for providing kennels suitable for transportation. Do not buy a over sized kennel for your pet. If your pet can stand up in the kennel with 2 inches over there head, that is a big enough kennel. Tear up newspaper in strips for there bedding. You can fill it half way up. I carry extra bedding. If you are shipping a puppy or a kitten, you can get a stuffed animal and rub it on there mother for the smell and put in the kennel. This helps to calm them. Send a bag of food, as this will be important when your pet reaches their new home. The new owner can feed your food and slowly mix in the food they want to use. I recommend ¾ yours to ¼ theirs for one week. Add a ¼ every week. Have them start this on the 3rd or 4th day. Your schedule on feeding is not needed. Most all pets that have not traveled will not eat or drink for awhile, sometime for days. This is nothing to worry about, they will come around. Food and water are always offered. If your pet has traveled you can give us their schedule and any other directions you feel we need to know. All pets are exercised every few hours. The spoiled ones ride up front with me.
BREAK DOWNS: Keep in mind that breakdowns do happen. You are responsible for all costs for any breakdowns and repairs to your equipment. (no mark up). Delay fee will be charged at $25.00 an hour, plus hotel if needed. Not to exceed $250 for a 24 hour period. This happens very rarely. You will be contacted, before anything major is done to your property.
WEATHER: Weather and road conditions sometimes, puts a wrench in my time frame. Please keep this in mind, especially in the winter months. My goal is to deliver your property SAFLEY and unharmed.
PICK UP & DELIVERY: We will pick up within 10 days of booking and deliver within 7 days, weather and road conditions permitting, unless other arrangements were made prior to delivery. All items will be photographed at time of pick up and delivery. We will give a one hour window for wait time at both pick up and delivery, if time exceeds that, there will be a delay fee of $25.00 an hour, plus hotel if needed, not to exceed $250 for a 24 hour period. We will contact you 5 to 24 hours prior to pick up and delivery. If we're running behind because of traffic, weather or breakdown you will be notified immediately. Thank you
