Question: Will the dump accept this? I was not aware Cecil Co. provided that service. What is time frame for removal, all in 1 day, or is several days okay? (4/20/2008)

Response: To be honest, I have NO idea whether or not the dump will take it. I find it hard to believe that there is not a mobile home "graveyard" near to Cecil county. I am actually in CA, and the trailer belongs to my parents, and I have just bought a house in Elkton and are moving in my parents with us. Tear down could be done over several days, but we really need to move out by the first of May. Can you help? Where are you located and how much would you charge us? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks:)

Response: I cannot imagine that the landfill wants this. Can you just abandon it to the owners of the trailer park, for salvage? Let me research this some. Thx, Bob @ Washburn moving/Newark Del
(4/21/2008)

Response: The owners want the trailer gone, and she(the owner) has not been the nicest person about this situation. We actually have a offer for someone to buy it, but only if it could stay in the park, but the owners are making it impossible for the potential buyers to want to try to fix it and stay. When we asked the owners if she knew any companies, she shut down and stopped talking to my mom. My parents have lived in that park for 15 years and NEVER been problem tenants, she is just a *****. They are both elderly and I am doing what research I can from here, but we are running out of time and patience. Thanks for offering to research for me! Janet (4/21/2008)

Response: Is this in a trailer park, or on private property somewhere. My contact will want that info when he call tomorrow. He apparently was off today. Are there contents to be removed also? Roughly when was this manufactured, do you know? Some of the REALLY old ones have asbestos insulation, and are very hazardous to deal with. (4/21/2008)

Response: It is in Forest Green Court trailer park, off Deaver Rd, in Elkton, and the trailer is 25 years old...I don't know about asbestos, but it was built in 1983. We have never been told to watch out for asbestos, but who knows? The only contents, (hopefully) will be an old queen size bed, a floor model TV that doesn't work, and an old coffee table. (4/21/2008)

Response: Don't give up, I have a couple of leads. (4/22/2008)

Response: I forgot to tell you, aside for some furniture, there is a refrigerator and a stove for appliances, and there is also a new gas hot water heater (less than a year old). As far as I know, it still has the wheels and hardware underneath, as the park manager requires it to stay. (4/22/2008)

Response: George A Kennedy, Childs, Md? Right name? (4/22/2008)

Response: They are not listed under Kennedy in the phone book. They are listed under my dad's middle name, which is Mullin. See if that helps! (4/23/2008)

Response: Sorry, just got back from a move job to N.C. Any news on this? (4/27/2008)

Response: I think I may have found someone who can take it. Thank you for all you have done! (4/28/2008)

Question: The dump in our county takes them but they charge to take them (can't remember how much but I believe it was by the ton. ) perhaps this fellow (above ) can help you get rid of it , if you advertised it under free I would have to believe someone in the local area would want it if not to live in for storage. Good Luck (4/22/2008)

Response: And what county do you live in? (4/22/2008)

Response: San Bernardino County in So Calif (4/22/2008)

Response: Thanks High Desert, but the trailer is in MD, and I live in San Mateo, CA:)
Thanks for the thought, though! (4/22/2008)

Response: Your welcome, most of the time when someone advertises to give away a mobile and if it has any value in it they usually say "you haul it away". Goodluck! (4/22/2008)

Response: I changed it, thanks! (4/25/2008)

Question: We may be able to offer extreme discounted removal of this as we would like to inspect it for salvage and or removal for personal use. If we decide to take it there would be no charge or only a very minimal charge for disposal of some of the necessary or possibly dangerous items associated with a home like this. (4/25/2008)

Response: where are you and when can you go see it? (4/26/2008)

Response: We will be in the are begining of next week and I can look at it then would that work? We might get up there this Sunday but we arent sure yet. (4/26/2008)

Response: I am not trying to sound dense, but you do know that this is a regular trailer, not a RV? It is in a trailer park, and from what I can gather, it still has most if not all of its hardware attached. (4/26/2008)

Response: Yes that is what we thought it was. we are planing on recycling if not refurbishing it for an office. (4/27/2008)

Response: It is liveable, but there are some areas that need to be fixed. If you would like to see it, I would need to tell you where it is. (4/27/2008)

Response: Our bid is below accept it and lets exchange information so we can see it and do something about hauling this away for you. (4/27/2008)

Response: I accepted the bid. My parents are elderly, so they really can't help, but my hubby is there visiting right now, and he could meet you there anytime, starting Monday 4/28. He can be reached at my parent's house. (4/28/2008)

Question: What kind of tow hitch is on it? 2 inch ball. Can it be demolished there and then taken away? Or pulled straight to the dump? I can do it but not until the 2nd of May, will the landlord wait until then. If so...whats your budget? (4/26/2008)

Response: I honestly have no idea what type of hitch it has on it....the hardware is under the skirting of the trailer, and I also found out that my dump won't take it. The landlord has been very difficult with this whole situation, and she has already reminded my parents that lot rent is due on the 1st...she is the type who would charge us a whole month for one extra day. Thanks anyway! (4/26/2008)
