Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello. If you rent a truck for a one way delivery, we will load, deliver and unload all of this for $750. This includes labor, gas and tolls. Let me know if you would like for me to place a bid. (9/3/2009)
Response: No. (9/3/2009)
Question: if you want us to place our bid on this let us know now (9/4/2009)
Response: Your bid is too high, Keith. The size of all the items takes up about 336 sq feet. and weighs less than 250 lbs. Someone going on a trip using I-75 or I-70 to deliver multiple shipments elsewhere (points South or East) could easily make a profit dropping my shipment off in Dayton. If your expenses are just for my shipment your bid might seem reasonable. if you delivered the items just to Chicago what would you charge? (9/4/2009)
Response: i would charge about $400.00 and iam trying to get more shipments going that way and do you still need this done or not (9/4/2009)
Response: Keith412, your price is the most competitive so far. The fragileness of the items and your inexperience might be a factor that has me allow another shipper focused on antique delivery send me a bid. If time is a factor their schedule is delayed until after Sept. 15th. Yes, I still need this done. They know my target price was $335. A UShip cost estimator lets me know that this is an adequate amount. (9/5/2009)
Question: Hello and thank you for the bid request. In order for us to provide you w/ an accurate quote we just a few questions for you. 1- Is time an issue? 2- At the pickup /delivery locations are all the items located on the 1st floor? 3- Can a 20 ft enclosed trailer be maneuvered easily at the pickup /delivery locations? 4- Since the pickup is a business, are there only certain times or days of the week we can pickup the items? 5 – Do you have any pics of the items? Thank you, antiquexpressdelivery (9/4/2009)
Response: The man in possession of the items needs to store them if they cannot be picked up in a reasonable time frame. That is my only time motivation issue. I could spend the storage fees on a pick up instead, Right now the items are being kept a a construction business and must be moved into storage, if not picked up. The man's home is [address removed]. Fon du Lac WI. He would be well informed as to their exact location and the details of the pick up location. He may bring them back to his home for the pick up. I've used auction description of the sizes. The weight is an estimate. 336 square feet is my estimate of the space they require with some additional for the padding/blankets. They are described as Antique doors, leaded glass and stained glass windows.Any pick up or most SUV's are adequate size for this shipment.The1st fl. garage is near I-35 (9/4/2009)
Response: Thank you so much for the detailed info. I neglected to ask you what your target price was? I thought I saw max price of $445. All those items would be considered “special care” because of their fragileness. I know that I will not be able to do this until after the 15th or so. Thank you, antiquexpressdelivery (9/4/2009)
Response: The gentleman with the items was informed that you may be able to help. I requested the pick up details and his cell phone number. A construction business currently has the items. I do not know how they have been packaged but they have been moved a time or two. The UShip cost estimator provided for this shipment has me know that my $335 target price is adequate for a competitive market price. Someone has accepted my max price offer and I have limited time to accept or decline the bid. If you can do a better job at a more reasonable price I'm hoping that the timing of "after the 15th or so" isn't a problem for the the man in Fon du Lac with the cabinets doors and windows. Unloading the items into my flatbed with tongue and groove wooden floor will be very easy and near the highway entrance ramps in a residential alley 20 ft. wide. (9/5/2009)
Response: Hello, I do believe that the time for us is going to be the 15th and beyond. Btw, do you know which highway exit # you are referring to? Will it be to late if I can give you an answer by tonight/tomorrow morning the latest (to see if we are able to do this and at that price)? Thank you, antiquexpressdelivery (9/5/2009)
Response: A bid has come in much lower than my max price by someone experiencd with a good feedback rating. I trust that you would do a good job and the details aren't finalized.I haven't heard that the timing is a problem at the pickup, yet. (9/5/2009)
Question: Hi, I'm sorry I had to cancel my bid for your max price, but had to do so because of another booked item in WI that cancelled this morning. I will definitely be going to St Paul, MN 19 Sep & returning to Dayton on Mon 21 Sep. If your items will indeed fit within a full sized pick up truck (the truck has a cap on the bed) I would pick up Mon 21 Sep and deliver late the same day, or later that week if more convenient for you. My bid would be $275. Please let me know your thoughts, thanks ~btl (9/5/2009)
Response: There isn't a bid close to your low price yet,so you'll probably get it. I have the cell phone number of the man with the items for you to discuss all the details of the pick up. I am fine with your later in the day delivery schedule. Before 5:30 pm or after 9:30 pm Monday the 21th is good. You can count on a cash payment from me, if that works. I can send the money to the home of the man with the items to pay in advance, if that is better. Delivering the items safely in the condition they were received will require some packaging,&blankets if they aren't wrapped up already. If the date is ok with the pick up I think that you can count on this one. Thanks very much, Diane in Dayton, Ohio. The delivery site is my garage on the wood bed of my flat bed truck. The alley is about 20 ft wide. This is located very near the I-35 exit and entrance ramps. A landmark is the McDonald's, (open late) near this location, a driveway called Cecil Court, immediately across from the Fire Station #11, (9/5/2009)
Response: Diane, thanks for responding, I'll place my bid, and once you accept, contact info can be exchanged. ~btl (9/5/2009)
