Questions for this shipment:

Question: ARE YOU SURE ON THE WEIGHT OR IS IT A HIGH GUESS WE COULD DO THIS BUT CAN NOT PICKUP TILL LATE SEPT. AND DROP OFF IN THE FIRST WEEK OF OCT. $3525. (8/25/2009)
Response: Weight of sub is 13,000 lbs (almost exactly), trailer is rated at 7,200 lbs and I will have about 2,000 lbs of support equipment on board. that's it. We have been using a one ton P/U to pull but it's just too hard on it--need a bit more for cross-country. Trailer is currently not registered--was hoping to do this on departure (has to go to licensing station) or use a trip pass. I think I can live with your dates--checking now and will know for sure in a couple of days. Ellis (8/25/2009)
Response: well that comes to 22,200lbs you had 18,600lbs listed sorry the 22,200lbs wont work for us (8/25/2009)
Response: Double checked the trailer weight and it's 5,600 lbs--not 7,200. Everything else is the same. Is this enough to make a difference? Ellis (8/25/2009)
Response: sorry no (8/25/2009)
Question: JUST MADE THE OFFER OF $3525.BE SURE TO GO TO OUR NAME AND CHECK US OUT (8/25/2009)
Question: Do you need it moved on your trailer or could I bring mine? What price are you looking for? (8/26/2009)
Response: It needs to be on my trailer with special cradle. I'm hoping someone will be in this area needing a load to go back East--so I'm hoping for a price around $3,500. I know that I may not get it... (8/26/2009)
Response: I can do this for $4500. Just have the trailer serviced, tagged and a spare. My insurance will cover it up to $500k. Let me know if this works for you. Thanks! Alex - The Transporters (8/27/2009)
Response: When would you propose to pick-up/deliver? Will you be submitting a formal bid? Are you using a truck bigger than a 1-ton? Thanks, Ellis (8/28/2009)
Response: I would prefer to do it the end of next month. Its a little harder since I would not be taking a trailer out there. My truck is a 1 ton but it's a Built Duramax and always has about 20k lbs behind it, so I don't think I will have any problems. Both of my trailers are 48ft goosenecks that it pulls very well. Yes, I will put in a formal bid when you are ready to accept. Thanks, Alex (8/28/2009)
Response: We can do this at the end of September. I'll accept an offer from you for $4,500 if you submit it. Thanks, Ellis (8/31/2009)
Question: YOU SHOULD CLICK ON EVERY ONES DOT NUMBERS TO SEE IF THEY SAY ACTIVE AND THEY SHOW YES OR NO IF THEY HAVE INSURANCE! BE SAFE (8/26/2009)
Question: Could you verify the height please. I will have a truck and trailer in WA in a week or so. Thanks, Justin salter-marine. (8/26/2009)
Response: Justin: Height is close to 11 feet (plus or minus a couple of inches). It needs to stay on it's trailer because of the special cradle. Ellis (8/26/2009)
Response: Thanks for the response, things have changed though and I need to get to TX instead of FL. good luck with your move (8/27/2009)
Question: Hello, my name is Ken. I have a Freightliner Cabriolet hauler I use for this kind of shipment. Can you tell me the axle weight rating on your trailer? What is the overall lenght and height of the loaded unit. Are the tires, brakes, lights and bearings in good shape?I could possibly pick this up on or about Sept.18th-19th and get it to you in 4-5 days. What are you looking to spend to move your sub? Thanks for your time, Ken (8/26/2009)
Response: Ken: Height is almost exactly 11 feet. Length of entire trailer is 40 feet (30 foot gooseneck). Trailer is in good shape--brakes and bearings just done last year. Everything works. Not sure about the height of your ball hitch on such a rig--we hauled the sub/trailer with a Ford 650 a couple of years ago and the ball hitch was so high I thought the sub was going to fall off the back end! Hoping for someone looking for a load going back East for around $3,500 (had one offer already but he couldn't handle the weight). I'll consider higher offers as I may not find this rate again. Ellis (8/26/2009)
Question: Hi! How are you doinjg? I will be out west in two weeks. I have a one ton dually wit5h a chip in it. I pull my horse trailer 16000 empty and load 4 horses in it bring total weight around 19000. I ahve pulled many fifth wheels as well across county. Click on my name to review my 100% positive feedback it says it all!! Let me know if you will reconsider have it towed with a one ton dually and I will place a bid. What date do you have in mind as well? (8/26/2009)
Response: I'll consider a one ton so submit your bid! Note that we are planning on adding 1,500 lbs of (movable) lead bricks on the trailer--could put them on the truck, too, if you prefer. Ellis (8/26/2009)
Response: Thanks for the responce! I just need to know if it can go in two weeks? I am picking a race sail boat next week going to northern california and looking for a back haull. He is sending me a check for $35,000 to go buy the boat for him after I inspect the boat and I have to wait a week for the check to clear and then 5 days out their to deliver. So I am looking for a back haull two weeks from today. Will that time frame work? (8/26/2009)
Response: Yes and no... I'm leaving town on Friday morning, Sept 11th for at least a week. Can you pick up by Thursday, Sept 10th? Otherwise, I can't do a pickup again until late September. Ellis (8/26/2009)
Response: I'm pretty sure I can get there on Thursday to pickup. How late on Thursday can a pickup be? (8/27/2009)
Response: Before dark! You will need to guarantee that you can make this date because I have to leave the next morning--I can't change my schedule. Ellis (8/27/2009)
Question: Sorry I cant spell tonight the road are really bad here in New York!! Me and my wife team drive and it hard to type! (8/26/2009)
Question: If it can go in two weeks I can do for 4500. I have a transport plate for trailer. Click on my name to review my 100% positive feedback it says it all!! Interested? (8/26/2009)
Question: Is this trailer a duel wheel or a single wheel? What is the GVW of the trailer? (8/27/2009)
Response: Duallie wheels, 20,000 GVWR. (8/27/2009)
Question: My Freightliner is set up to haul either gooseneck or 5th wheel. The gooseneck ball is the same height as my 3/4 ton and 1 ton Dodge pickups. You are correct in not wanting a pickup to do this job. Most 1 ton diesel pickups can move this size of load but they do not have the proper braking and anybody who hauls this load will have to go over the Rocky Mountains at least once.Keep that in mind. Ken (8/27/2009)
Response: Great--will you be making a bid soon? Thanks, Ellis (8/27/2009)
Response: Hello, Thanks for the reply. I am based out of Colorado, so I am looking to book a load to your area as well as a back haul from Fl. The soonest I will be able to hook onto your trailer is Sept. 21st. It will take me appx. 6 days to deliver. My bid will be in the range of $5500.00-$5750.00 Thanks for your time, Ken (8/27/2009)
Question: Dear shipper if we can get this to a mrina with a travel lift can load up on my 53' yacht trailer then noworries about wear and tear ,brakes ,weight limits etc. I carry 1,000,000 cargo insurance and have 100% pos feedback will be empty in Seattle sept 8th thanks Kenny4800 (8/27/2009)
Response: It has to go on my trailer due to special cradle--sorry! Ellis (8/27/2009)
Response: I can haul both your trailer with sub on it to your destination just need to get to a lift to load thanks again Kenny4800 (8/29/2009)
Question: Hello shipper, just wondering if you know the around about shipping dates? Are you interested in our services? Will need to get permits in place. (8/27/2009)
Response: Will be making a decision in the next day. Thanks, Ellis (8/27/2009)
Response: That will work great! Thanks for your response. (8/27/2009)
Question: Read my profile could pick-up next week,if you want i will bid. (8/30/2009)
Response: I'm still taking bids, but need to make a decision soon. Know that the total load is 20,600 lbs. (8/31/2009)
Response: Pulled that or close several times, going to be close to other current bids. i take it you had trailer weighed? i guessing that your testing/contracting this vs buying? are you insuring for full value or do in need to figure in bid? last question Did you read my profile? (8/31/2009)
Question: Fyi ,It's true a 1 ton truck brakes are not designed to brake for a 18k load, neither is brakes on a Tractor that wieghs 18k are designed to brake for the load of up to 62k(trailer and load)18+62=80k. Somebody a long time ago figured this out AND PUT BRAKES on the trailer to assist in braking. As far as down grades i don't follow a GPS but my knowelge of routes(if i have a concern)on the correct route you go around the steep grades. (8/30/2009)
Question: Hello shipper i was wondering if you are close to picking someone?Time is running out if you need it picked up by the date you stated in the questions in ad.Thanks, haulinall! (8/31/2009)
