Building supplies. Roofing shingles. Can get wet and shipped on open flatbed. Can also be loaded into trailer by bundle then unloaded at site. Very tough material either way and non fragile. Report a Violation
Additional Information: I had a few shippers ask me exact weight and I called and verified from owens corning the exact weight per bundle of shingles which I originally estimated at 50-60 pounds. The actual weight is 66 pounds per bundle. The total revised weight and listing is exact and correct. I apologize for any mis calculation as it was not meant to mislead, I truly estimated as close as I could when I originally listed request. Thanks. Report a Violation

Question:

most bundles of shingles weigh about 90lbs. per bundle Is your weight correct?? thanksReport a Violation
Response: I was told these bundles are 50 to 60 pounds each. I am not the roofer but the owner of the development company and have another contractor installing the material once on site. I will call for verification of exact weight and be back in touch very soon. The shingles are 30 year owens corning oakridge shingles. I will apologize for any miscommunication as I am not trying to mislead. I will be in touch very soon again with confirmation on weight. 10/31/2011Report a Violation

Question:
11/1/2011
Do you really require loading and unloading assistance? Please let us know so that we can take that into consideration when bidding. Report a Violation
Response: Yes.11/1/2011Report a Violation
Question:
11/1/2011
By help loading/unloading do you mean provide a liftage on both ends or are you needing manpower?Report a Violation
Response: I am not a trucking expert. What does liftage mean on both ends? 11/2/2011Report a Violation
Response: A liftgate allows freight to be loaded without a shipping dock. It's a platform on the back of certain trucks that lowers and raises to allow friehght to be loaded and unloaded by driver. So really what you need is a pick-up liftgate truck and a delivey liftgate truck. I'll see what I can do tommorrow on a price that meets your budget.
