  • Special Handling: They cannot be driven through weather colder than 40 degrees F and they should not take more than five days on route.
  • Packaging:Plants would be packed inside vehicle with tissue paper around them. I am happy to pack them.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: What is your budget for this shipment?? (1/25/2007)
Response: Hi, I'm not sure--but if I don't send them with someone thru uship I'll rent a van, cover gas and expenses for two students, and fly them back, $2000 at least. It would be easiest to send the plants in a cargo van, or a Dodge caravan kind of thing without the back seats. The key thing is that they need to not fall below freezing, which means that the car shouldn't stay overnight in below freezing weather--really, below 40 degrees. They're all legal to transport (inside plants, commercial soil). But in midMarch it can get cold. I asked for a bid from you because I'd trust anyone who cares for doggies! My (1/26/2007)
Question: We can meet your dates and target price, we drive a large highboy diesel van, (kinda looks like an ambulance) so it never gets turned off. Your plants will be in a complete temp. controlled enviroment. We would do this with only your plants on board so they are not disturbed. Would you like us to place a bid?? (1/26/2007)
Response: Sure! thanks. Does that meet that the plants would be in a climate controlled setting even when you stop at night to sleep? (1/26/2007)
Question: Yes, they will remain at 68-70 degrees at all times. Trip should take 3 days to complete providing weather doesn't pose a problem and slow us down. Either way, the truck will not be turned off until the plants are delivered. (1/26/2007)
Response: Wonderful. I think what we'd like to do, then, is to add six cases of wine. The plants could sit on top of them. If it's ambulance-sized, there should be plenty of room. Does that sound okay? (1/26/2007)
Question: That will be fine with us, I'm sure there will be enough room. Would you like us to place a bid, so we can get each others phone # and finalize the details? (1/27/2007)
Response: Yes please! Thank you. (1/27/2007)
