Questions for this shipment:
Question:
I have an enclosed stock trailer that is 6.5 foot wide and 20 foot long. How far do you think the tree could be compressed and do you think the tree can be laid on its side. If so I can haul it for you just as soon as you need it delivered. I live just north of Atlanta. (5/8/2009)
Response:
Laying the tree on an angle is no problem and this is how they are most generally shipped at this size. We generally block it up at the top of the container so that it is not totally horizontal. It's much smaller at the top so the angled height at the top of the tree is always much less. I also don't see any problem with us placing twine around it's spread to reduce it to 6.5' Our customer would like to have the tree soon however we can be flexible on a ship date. Thanks, Duane (5/8/2009)
Question:
I also failed to mention that my trailer is 7 foot high. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks (5/8/2009)
Response:
The 7' Height I do not see as a problem as the tree is much smaller at the top, so when tilted I think it should still work fine. Thanks and feel free to contact me anytime. Duane (5/8/2009)
Question:
What kind of price range are you looking for? (5/8/2009)
Response:
We don't have a set budget but the tree is only valued at $300.00 so we have to ship it as reasonable as possible. We generally try to find service providers that are less than full or making a return trip empty to save on shipping costs. Thanks, Duane (5/8/2009)
Question:
Im working on another trip back from South Carolina. If you can give me a day or two I can get another trip coming back. Thanks (5/8/2009)
Response:
Thanks for the info. As this is not a rush shipment maybe we can work out some arrangements with you that would be acceptable for both of us. Thanks, Duane (5/8/2009)
Question:
I'll do my best to help ya'll out. How often do you have trees and stuff that needs to be delivered? If I win the shipment I would definately be interested in helping ya'll out more often in the future. Do You own a nursery? If so what is the name of it. (5/8/2009)
Response:
We have a specimen ornamental tree farm here on Saint Helena Island, SC and have shipments most all the time. We would most definitely be interested in working with you further also. Just click on our name and you can see our profile as well. Thanks for your interest and feel free to contact me anytime. Duane (5/8/2009)
