Listing Information
  • 1 FARM TRACTOR , COMPACT, WITH CANOPY
  • Length:10 ft 0 in
  • Width:4 ft 0 in
  • Height:6 ft 10 in
  • Weight:3100 lbs
Additional Information: One : 90's restored and running PGS ROMA 60,with working lights, compact diesel articulating tractor, hydraulic steering, manual gears with canopy/ROPS., which is not to be removed.
Prefer 2500 or 3500 pickup with enclosed dual-axle trailer with strap/chain-down/binders and insurance coverage.... to haul this tractor from Aurora, Ontario to Southern Kentucky. Transporter is to do all necessary brokerage tasks and/or fee payment at border as may be required.
I will load trailer at my end, and driver will unload at farm destination as per instructions.
If enclosed trailer haulage is absolutely not available, i would consider open trailer/tarped haulage. This is to be a dedicated load to destination, on a small car-sized trailer, and not part of a load on a larger trailer.
Note: Front bumper will be added (not in picture)
Diesel tank will be full, unless not acceptable. I want to avoid airbleeding the diesel with an empty tank at the destination. Please advise on this. Thanks.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello - just fyi - you may want to consider taking it yourself or be a little more OPEN minded with your provider demands. You may get some bids on your shipment. :) there are a lot of honest and insured carriers, however your trailer demands are a little strict! good luck (2/24/2007)
Response: Hi: Thanks for your input. While i naturally have expressed cautionary preferences, i am also here (OPEN)to learn the range of freight possibilities. I assume that you might mean, for example, that an 18'trailer would not be any more expensive than a 12' trailer? Or, that there aren't many smaller enclosed trailers with HD tiedowns inside , for a tractor? I don't know. What are the specific factors which you see as being "too strict" ? Thanks for any insight/help!....fred (2/25/2007)
Question: Hi Fred, Well my first question would be, why couldnt the canopy come off? (2/25/2007)
Response: That was my major concern too when i found that most shorter enclosed trailers have only a 6'- 6'-6" door height. That's why i included the open trailer option which is usually less expensive anyway. The canopy supports are quite tightly wedged in and awkward for the inexperienced customer to reinstall. It was just one less burden i wanted for them...just drive off and go...if it's raining. If this takes much longer, i may just do it myself, and shorten the supports to a clearance height of 5'10". This means we can't stand up straight momentarily while working in the field. (2/26/2007)
