Question: Thank you for requesting my bid, I have a scheduled transport to York PA around March 30-31st-can either day work for you? I will bring myself and another guy, will you also be helping out with the loading/unloading? Thanks (3/26/2007)
Response: I am moving my stuff from an apartment to a storage facility less than 2 miles away om Rt309/Bethlehem Pike. I can help with some carrying but am limited in what I can move because of a heart condition. I have one antique glass fronted china cabinet that requires special care in moving. Everything else is easily movable. The apartment has a hal flight of stairs to descend. If you can do Wednesday or Thursday morning I can ask my brother to help. He is working Friday & Saturday. Question: Thanks for responding-I can only transport for the weekend March 31st possible but since you can not provide any help then I will have to pay someone to help me so I have to charge more. The special care items is not a problem-I can properly wrap-I have hauled antiques for many customers. My price would be $500 cash since I am highly recommended, provide all throw blankets, secure specialty items, provide all help loading/unloading, dolly, enclosed hauler to protect your items and provide excellent service. Question: Hi MM. One day this week- maybe even tomorrow, (Tuesday) we'll be in Philly with a 12' Penske box van. If the load is as you describe, (first floors both locations and only a few miles apart, into a storage bin), and you are pretty certain that the larger items, (sofa) will easily fit through doorways, then we'll do it for close to your target price- $280 net. Response: Hi Joel Wednesday or Thursday am would be better. I have an antique glass front china cabinet that needs wrapping & is pretty heavy. The rest of the furniture is pretty easy & fits down the half flight of stairs. Most of the rest is boxed. The storage facility is first level and about 2-3 miles up the road.
