Questions for this shipment:

Question: I am in MA weekly (have a delivery in MA the week of Jan 17th. When are you expecting delivery to NC? (1/13/2007)
Response: I need the items to be picked up the 29th-31st, but can be delivered up to a week later to Charlotte. (1/13/2007)
Question: OK-Great, let me see what I can do. Thanks Craig (1/13/2007)
Response: Hi Craig, Can you let me know as soon as possible about whether you can do the move? I also need door-to-door service. I'm not sure what your services include. Also, if you could quote a price, that would be great too. I have two other quotes from moving companies, but they're still a little high for me to afford. [phone number removed] Thanks, Margaret. (1/15/2007)
Question: FYI-you probably will get turned in for posting your phone number-we can not supply each other phone numbers until the bid is accepted (uship violation/rule). Anyways, yes I can complete your move-door to door. My services include loading/unloading, enclosed hauler, insurance, throw blankets, and excellent customer ratings and service. What's a good target price for you-we can compromise ok. Thanks Craig (1/15/2007)
Response: Hey Craig, Oh, I guess I didn't read all the rules. I've never used Uship before. What day can you do the move? Monday the 15th? Is that guaranteed? What does insurance include? Is insurance through your company or Uship? My target price is $500. I'm selling some of my furniture now to pay for the move. Let me know if $500 is doable. Thanks Thanks, Margaret. (1/15/2007)
Question: Margaret I thought you wanted your items picked up Mond the 29th- Wed the 31st (but you just stated Mond the 15th in your question to me). Can you meet me partial way for $575 (it is still in the 500 dollar range) let me know ok thanks Craig (1/15/2007)
Response: Hi Craig, I should be able to do $575. Some companies were going to ask me for 60% at pickup and the rest at delivery. Does this seem fair to you? Please let me know about the insurance. Thanks, Margaret. (1/16/2007)
Question: Margaret-I usually do half and half (50% at pickup the remainder at delivery-cash) As I mentioned above my services include insurance, dolly, loading/unloading, throw blankets-complete transport. (1/16/2007)
Response: HI, hav en't heard back from you yet, was wondering still how insurance worked - if it is based on the weight of the item. Also, if you were going to bid on the shipment. Thanks, Margaret. (1/17/2007)
Question: Margaret-another customer has just accepted a bid of mine today that has been pending for quite some time now-so I can only pickup your items either Jan. 26-28th or Feb 2-4. Let me know if any of these timeframes still work for you. Craig (1/17/2007)
Response: Can you do the 28th? Please answer my questions about insurance, thanks. (1/18/2007)
Question: Margaret, no insurance is not determined by weight-I have my own insurance on anything that I carry or transport (up to $100,000)so I imagine your items would be covered, unless you had something of greater value than that. Also I inform the customers to properly pack and securely wrap all valuable/fragile items to protect the items from breakage-I have not had any problems-my customers feedback will support this. Craig (1/17/2007)
Response: Hi Craig, I haven't heard back from you yet about shipping my stuff out on the 28th. I'm getting a little frustrated, because I had asked you for a while if you were going to bid. I understand that you made another bid for the day we had been talking about. Are you going to bid for the 28th? (1/18/2007)
Question: Margaret, sorry I haven't been back in touch with you-I am on the road in NJ. Anyways-another customer this morning accepted a bid of mine and it's on Jan. 26th in which I will be in NH (I could pick up your items on this day but I can not go back now to MA for your pickup in another 2 days-Jan 28th) It is so much better to be flexible on dates and so hard to pinpoint dates before a bid is accepted. You probably won't need my service now, unless you can work with the Jan 26th date. Craig (1/18/2007)
Response: I can do the 26th, but I need to finalize things. (1/18/2007)
Question: Can you do a pickup earlier than the 26th? We are in CT and could easily assist you in your shipment. Brian - Northeast Cargo Carriers (1/19/2007)
Response: I'm not sure. I won't be back into town until Monday and have to start packing then. What day were you thinking? Can you do close to %500? Margaret. (1/19/2007)
Question: How soon do you need it delivered once it is picked up? We could pickup any night next week and store it in Connecticut until you arrive in NC. We could then transport it to you at a convenient agreed upon time. Our fee would be closer to the $600 price point, but certainly not higher. Brian - NECC (1/19/2007)
Response: Well next week, Friday would be the best option. I will be arriving in North Carolina on Monday the 29th, so Tuesday the 30th would be a good day for me. It would need to be delivered to a storage unit in Charlotte right down the street from where I'm living. I'd be able to meet you there for the unloading process. Is insurance by the weight of the cargo? HOw does insurance work? I'm trying to finalize things, hopefully be tomorrow. I'll be calling back two other shipping companies I found online, so please email me back as soon as possible and if you could bid, that would be great. (1/19/2007)
Question: Thanks for the response. Could we pick it up this coming Friday and then bring it down to NC later in February since the stuff is going to storage anyways? Thanks - Brian - Northeast Cargo Carriers (1/20/2007)
Response: Yes that's fine. Could you give me timeframe of when it would be picked up? Can you tell me about insurance. And bid please. Friday is really soon. (1/20/2007)
Question: ASAPdelivery: Addition to answering your question: Each of your items(dresser, each box, etc) will be tagged with a number(example: 01,02,etc). You will be given an inventory list at pickup, if your are there, or we can email list to you. We are used to signing a bill of lading itemizing each piece, box, delivery address, terms, appt date/time, etc. Thanks again! ASAP (1/21/2007)
