You could load Friday or Saturday and deliver same day to new location, unstairs barn apartment, and go 15 more miles to a storage unit to unload a couple of pieces of furniture and boxes? Response: Chris, do you think you have about 16 feet left? That's the size uhaul I was going to get. Had a 24 or 26 foot one before, but not taking guestroom bed, chairs, 2 huge desks, another chair, have given away lots. Hope that 16 feet or so will do it. Do you think you could do this coming Friday or Saturday? Will you be by yourself or will there be more than one loader/unloader? And I'm downsizing, but I do want to emphasize that the unloading will be going upstairs into a barn apartment. Would like a bid. (10/17/2009)
Response: Thank you for good communication! I will have roughly 16 feet left in the truck. I still am not sure if you're wanting me to dolly a car on the load? Two stops 15 miles apart are no prob at all. I will have one of my crew members with me. So you wont have to lift a finger. We will also be able to facilitate you on these dates. As far as pricing....Paying two sets of companies to load-unload, lets say two man crew at an average of 60-hour with a two hour minimun and 1 hour travel on both ends, gas, truck and then pads. If you do not have the correct padding(moving blankets)I would be suspect of the safety of your load. No moving company will provide them freely. You might be able to get away with 225 dollars of pads, but that still might not be enough. Usually at the end of the move when you do it yourself you regret it:-( All that being said,I could price it around 875,no hidden charges, no cocky lazy bum movers,no cancelations,just a great move at a great price.Thanks Mountain Movers (10/17/2009)

Response: Looking to pack maybe late Friday and Saturday a.m. Need to be in SC by 3 to unload at barn apt, hopefully 2 people and over by 4:30. There's a group hunting there 4:30-7:30 (my original target time). A storage unit will be a few minutes away and some boxes and a few chairs will go there. Would prob mean leaving by 8?
