Question: Hello.Would there be any help to load/unload bulky items? (11/6/2009)

Response: Hi,
Yes we would need help loading and unloading a few bulky items: queen bed and boxspring, two seater couch, three drawer dresser, and other small furniture items listed and the approx 20 med boxes.
Thanks!
Donna (11/6/2009)

Response: Hello Donna. You misunderstood my question.I am asking you if somebody would be there to help me load/unload bulky items as I would travel by myself let me know.Thanks,Peter. (11/6/2009)

Response: Hi Peter,
My boyfriend will be around on both sides of the trip so he could help and I could a bit. Would you have a cart or dolly to help?
Thanks,
Donna (11/6/2009)

Response: Hello Donna.Your boyfriend would be enough.I have cart/dolly to
make the job easier.I will place my bid.Peter. (11/6/2009)

Response: Hi Peter, thanks very much for your bid. This is Donna's boyfriend, Edo. I wanted to ask you a few questions: do you have things like moving blankets to wrap furniture and mattress covers, etc. and is that included in the bid? Or are those things we need to purchase ourselves?
You seem to be a very good mover with excellent feedback, but I've never used uship before I want to make sure everything is legitimate. Is it alright if I contact your cargo insurance provider to verify your coverage?
Thank you very much!
Edo (11/8/2009)

Response: Hi Edo.I do have furniture blankets to protect your items during the transport. As far as insurance I can't give you any info right now due to Uship rules, but if you accept my bid I could provide you
with a copy of my insurance ceritificate prior to pick up.Peter. (11/8/2009)

Response: Thanks Peter - that sounds completely reasonable. I'm sorry to pester you with all these questions, but I have one more. Donna and I were hoping to spend Friday with our families to say goodbye, then drive to WI Saturday and arrive Sunday. Is there any way to load your truck on Wed. the 25th (or Tuesday, if you are busy on Wed.) but to meet you and unload the truck on Saturday or Sunday (the 28 or 29th)?
Thanks again,
Edo (11/8/2009)

Response: Hi Edo.I could make some changes and pick up on 11.24.but then I would be looking to unload on Saturday the the 28th.Would that work for you?Would you make it to Madison by then?Peter. (11/8/2009)

Response: Hi Peter, unloading on Saturday is alright with us if we can do it around 2 pm (roughly). We'll be driving part of way Friday and part of the way Saturday so we won't make it to Madison early on Saturday.
Donna and I are both extremely busy today and tomorrow but we hope to make a final decision about the move within about 36 hours. Right now you are our top choice. Is it alright if we let you know what our decision is by tomorrow, or Wednesday at the latest?
Thanks very much,
Edo (11/9/2009)

Response: Hi.That would be fine.Peter. (11/9/2009)

Response: Hi again Peter. Thank you for being patient with our many questions. We are nearly certain that we would like to hire you for this move, there are just a few more loose ends to wrap up. We have checked and both buildings (the one we are moving into and the we are moving out of) want certificates of insurance for a move. If we accept the bid, will you have those to show the buildings' managers?
Finally, one last thing (which is less critical). The unloading in Madison, WI will be a little difficult because we'll have to park the truck on the street, then walk about 150 feet through the building garage and up an elevator. I'm concerned that this will be hard for just you and me so I would like to hire one additional person in Madison to help unload. As such, would you be willing to lower your bid price by $100?
If all goes well, we can accept the bid by 6pm today. (11/11/2009)

Response: Hello Edo.I am not sure what kind of insurance certificate your buildings would want.I am not a moving company.I am just an owner operator with a small truck that does not require special permit or license.I am sure that buildings have different policies for moves
by moving companies and private moves(people moving in or out,do the
actual move themself by renting a truck). As far as long carry in Madison,it would not be a problem. That is when cart and dolly come to help, but I see that maybe things are a little complicated for you and understand if you would like to go in different direction.
Peter. (11/11/2009)

Response: Hi Peter, thanks for letting us know. We think we can work it out with the buildings if we tell them that we're not using a moving company. We are accepting the bid now... (11/11/2009)
