Question: To give a bid I'll need as detailed of an inventory as you could provide. List of all furniture and approximate number and size of boxes you are shipping. This can be difficult to do if you are not packed up yet, but I always tell people to estimate a little high, because you'll probably need more anyway. Thanks. Billy (7/25/2006)
Response: I added a few items, we may or may not be purchasing bedroom furniture prior to the move- so this is the high estimate. We are driving two cars so we will only be shipping large furniture items with you (those listed). If anything, the actual move will be less than what is listed. (7/25/2006)
Question: Sounds like you have around 2500 lbs. That will take up approx. 400 cu ft on the truck. The transportation portion of the trip will be the greatest factor. It will cost me over $900 in diesel fuel alone. What floor are you coming from and going to? Is there anything that will restrict access to a large straight truck 36ft long 13' 1'' overhead clearance? Also I will be driving by myself. Can you help me load up the items or will I need to contact LaborReady for a temp. Let me know, thanks. (7/25/2006)
Response: we are moving from the second floor apt to a first floor unit. i do not believe there are any restrictions for the street we are located on. i have seen trucks parked for loading and unloading. we will assist loading, as well. i was hoping you had other moves along the way since mine is not a truckload full- to help offset gas prices.
