Question: when are you looking to have your move done? Also, can you help load and unload and do you have a list of items?
thanks

Response: I was looking at late august. i can help with some unloading--i have girl arms, so not sure how much heavy stuff I can carry. Items: bed, books, shoes, clothes, bed, small tv, armoire, bookshelves (one short one tall), NO major appliances (only microwave and minfridge), no mirrors, NO couch, NO desks, NO kitchen table/chairs. (7/15/2008)

Response: we could do late August as long as it is a weekend as my wife and I both teach school. If you could help just even with little stuff, my wife and I should be able to do most of the big stuff. Maybe if something is really big you could help her on her side. What floor are they coming out of and going into? Also, do you have a target price in mind that is fair for the two of us? any elevators?
thanks

Response: Not sure about the price; just started my search. Hmmm...
Well, weekends would be fine. So, if you were picking it up on a weekend, when would the stuff be in Boston (a guess)? I guess the last weekend of August in Boston is Labor Day weekend, right? A bit traficky; is that a problem?
So, on the Philly side: I live in an apt building. I am on the third floor. But, there is an elevator in the building. I moved from the 1st floor to the 3rd with a couple of guys and we didn't have any issues getting the stuff on the elevator.
On the Boston side: I am moving into a room in a house. So, the room is on the first floor. And I guess I'd be putting some of my boxes in the basement, but I could do that myself. (7/15/2008)

Response: traffic is ok, Maybe we could load up in the morning on maybe Saturday and then I could hit the road. I will drive straight through back to MA, so I can deliver to Boston whenever. I live about 60 miles from Boston. I am thinking we could do it for around 750.00 or so.
Let me know your thoughts again
thanks for your time as well

Response: I think that sounds like a decent price...
What about insurance? What would we do if something happens to my stuff?
I think it's great that you're teachers--I am too! (7/18/2008)

Response: I can rent a trailer from a trailer company up here and that company offers insurance up to 20,000.00. Also, that is why I usually ask for help to load and unload, so that you and I are both happy the way the trailer is packed.
thanks
jason
I will be gone until Sunday night so i will talk to you then
(7/18/2008)

Response: just trying to get all the info here (sorry for all the emails):
I'm just double checking--when is payment due? Deposit at booking/accepting bid and then when is the rest due? (7/24/2008)

Response: the deposit is due at booking and the rest isn't due until we at drop off location.

Question: Hello shipper, what size is the bed? We would be available to help with your move, Ambassadormovers (7/15/2008)

Response: Looking for late August move.
The bed is full sized. Have a couple of bookshelves (one tall, one short), armoire, books, clothes/shoes, NO sofa, NO desk, NO major kitchen appliances/tables. small television.
Philadelphia side of the move--third floor apt. Elevator building.
Boston--house, room on the first floor. (7/15/2008)

Question: Be advised that the ins the "Trailer Company " offers is in case of accident involving the trailer only. It does not cover items dropped, packed poorly, etc. If "Jason" were a legal hauler, he would have the Federally mandated cargo coverage, along with liability coverage. Just FYI (7/19/2008)

Response: Thanks for the advice. New to this site. (7/19/2008)

Response: You are welcome. (7/19/2008)

Question: I see the pick up is above the 3rd floor, is there an elevator capable of fitting the armoire? Blacksheep. (7/20/2008)

Response: Yes, I moved a year ago from the first floor to the third floor and the armoire came with me, already assembled, and fit in the elevator.
The one furnishing of mine that had trouble fitting--and is, therefore not included in the move--was the futon. (7/20/2008)

Response: thanx for the quick response, i placed my bid below :0) Blacksheep (7/20/2008)

Response: I'm just double checking--when is payment due? Deposit at booking/accepting bid and then when is the rest due? (7/24/2008)

Question: hello again,
Just got back from a trip to VA, therefore, I wanted to touch base with ya and see how your search was going. I would still like to help you out with your move. (7/21/2008)

Response: Hi there: Did you ever submit a formal bid? (7/23/2008)

Response: thanks for getting back in touch with me. I have not left a formal bid yet. I would love to leave a bid. I see you have a lower bid then I could leave for you. I can do this for you for 750.00. I realize I am not the cheapest but feel I am most reliable. If you would like me to place my bid please let me know
thanks so much
jason
(7/23/2008)

Response: Jason. I can appreciate reliability. let me sleep on it and talk to my dad (who's paying) and see what's the best thing to do. Thanks for your patience. (7/23/2008)
