Question: How many stairs at the pickup location (bid states 3+),is there extra help available during the pickup-I will bring myself and another guy but we would need extra (especially for the piano)? Response: Please bid soon as I'm deciding today. Very interested in your services and my dad was career military, so my mom would like to use you, but need a bid for all. Unclear if there would be other items or fewer. How do you price if there are (we won't know for sure til we go there that weekend.) The items I listed are the probables, the piano is definite. Question: Will the piano be coming down from a 3rd floor apt? I can only afford, with my bid, to bring one helper. It may very well take 3-4 men to lift and carry the piano. You need to question all the providers who you are considering. Some charge by the weight and have a minimum, or if you under estimate the weight you might have to pay alot more than the bid. Take this into account if you are considering someone who bids by the weight. I bid on the job and not by weight or mileage. (3/18/2007)

Question: Thank you for responding back to me. What floor is your mom on for pickup-I know you stated there was an elevator, but I have accepted bids before who said we could use the elevator but problems existed (it could only be used during certain hours, certain items didn't fit in the elevator-?piano, could not park by the elevator/and apartment was far away from the elevator) so I need to really evaluate the situation. My bid would include only what is listed ($1400), other items would cost extra-how much I do not know until I get there or you ask me after accepting the bid. Question: will there be someone to assist a crew of 2 men in moving the piano? Is the piano on the lower level? Does it have wheels on it? You need to make sure the crew you hire has enough man power to move the piano or it might have to be left behind or moved some other way. (3/19/2007)

Question: You mentioned that you have many lower bids with references-after reviewing it looks like one shipper can't complete until April and the other has only 2 guys loading/unloading -just like in my case for over $1000. I can supply a bid for $1000 as well but it will be without the piano (I can not guarantee that 2 of us can load/unload due to the situation and I can't see how others can) For $1000 I can not take the piano but I can accept other items in place of it (boxes etc that make up the same measurements). Also is there enough room in the parking garage for a 24 ft hauler and pickup-need to make sure there is enough overhead clearance? Let me know. (3/19/2007)
