Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, My wife and I could pick up your shipment between 8/12/06-8/14/06 and deliver it straight through for $575.00. We have a custom set up with a 2006 Chevy Dually and 44 foot enclosed trailer with tie downs, blankets and dollies. Please check out our perfect feedback and let me know if that works for you! Thanks, Mark (markwmit) (8/9/2006)
Response: Mark, The feedback looks great and price seems about right. Just a few questions for you please: 1. When and how do we calculate the exact cost of insurance? 2. Is there any other cost besides the $575 + potential insurance? 3. How long will it take you to get to Palo Alto? 4. I'm going to be driving out to California myself on the 14th, so the earlier the pick-up the better for me. Any idea what the earliest pick-up time for you could be? Thanks in advance for everything and I hope to be working with you soon. All the best, Ash (8/9/2006)
Question: Hi, The $575 is the only fee you will incur other than the insurance. The minimum charge on insurance is $45. Household goods are calculated at $1.80 per every $100 worth of value. We have an insurance provider we will set you up with once you accept our bid. The earliest we could be to Houston would be late on the 11th or early on the 12th (we are still coordinating with our other customers). Thanks, Mark (markwmit) (8/9/2006)
Response: If timing is an issue with regards to pick up, please advise and hopefully we can make appropriate arrangements. Thanks, Ash (8/9/2006)
Question: Hi Ash, I'm sorry for the confusion. I need to try to book a few other shipments to the bay area before I bid on your shipment. Right now I am going to LA. I need to book a few other shipments to the bay area in order to make it feasible to move your shipment (gas-ouch!). I will get back to you today and let you know if I can make it to the bay area. Thanks, Mark (markwmit) (8/10/2006)
Response: Mark, thanks for the follow up. I was joking with my girlfriend last night that I felt like I'd been dumped with the bid being revoked. That being said, I understand completely about the gas issue, but would still very much like to do business with you based on your feedback and our communications. Please keep me posted and I hope that we can work something out. I look forward to hearing from you soon. All the best, Ash (8/10/2006)
Question: Hi Ash, We will be coming through to Houston late tomorrow (Friday)/early Saturday. Are you flexible with the pick up time? We often work odd hours if we can. What is your time frame for pick up (earliest-latest). If you wouldn't mind working with us on the pick up time we can move your shipment for you. We appreciate your patience. We will place a formal bid once we know what time we can stroll through the Houston area to pick up your shipment. Thanks, Mark (markwmit) (8/10/2006)
Response: Mark, I'm very flexible on the pick up time. If you can give me a few hours notice, that'd be ideal but any time should work. Odd hours aren't a problem either; whatever works for you, works for me. Also, I'm not leaving until Monday so any time this weekend works fine. Thanks again, Ash (8/11/2006)
Question: Hi Ash, Thanks for being so flexible. We usually don't travel this quickly through but we have a shipment booked in CA in a few days so we are running fast! I will place my bid now. We are still waiting to hear from one of our other customers however, we are looking at a target time for the afternoon. We will give you a call and update you in the morning as soon as we know (around 11am or so). We will be leaving Dallas and heading straight to Houston so we are looking at 4-5 hours. We can call you as soon as we head out of Dallas so that you have an exact time frame. As far as the delivery is concerned we can drop off your shipment on the 18th (early afternoon) if that works for you. Thanks, Mark (markwmit) (8/11/2006)
