Additional Information:
MY APOLOGIES TO THOSE WHO BID ON THIS JOB IN JANUARY! The shenanigans in the financial markets had a far greater effect on my plans than expected. I now have firm plans and a a firm (+/- a day) move date. The box count is a rough estimate; however, I plan to pre-box as much as I can manage on my own in the time I have before the move. All totaled: 1 Bed Apt, + work studio + small garage full of stored items. Expect an interval from 3-10 weeks of storage. Please include a rate for additional months' storage.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Shipper, would you consider shipping part of the items (those of which are ready to ship first) and then ship the remainder after escrow ends? If so, please advise as to which items would be in the first shipment so that we may place a formal bid accordingly. Thank you! (1/6/2009)
Response:
I won't have a place to store items at either location so I don't think it will be advantageous for me to split the shipments. I expect a period when everything will need to be in storage in between when I vacate my apartment and take possession of the house. In the meantime, I have to report to a new job so I will probably land in corporate housing for a short period with everything in storage. I'm open to ideas or suggestions, though! Thanks for reviewing my listing. Cheers. (1/6/2009)
Question:
would you consider loading the goods this weekend and deliver within 4-5 days...door to door $1500 (1/6/2009)
Response:
Sorry, that wouldn't be possible for me, although the price is too good to ignore! However, there is no way I could be physically ready to make the move that soon, and I have nowhere on the other end to store the shipment. My best case scenario has me moving no sooner than 2/7 or so - and even then I'll still need to store on the delivery end for an as-yet-to-be determined period. Thanks for reviewing my listing. Cheers. (1/6/2009)
Response:
Thank You If we could load the shipment this week we can put it into our storage warehouse for an additional$500.00 and then deliver when you are ready to have the goods delivered. We have our warehouse in San Jose (1/6/2009)
Response:
Thanks so much for the offer. Unfortunately, I'm just not prepared to move that fast. I have quite a lot on my plate, including negotiating a new employment contract and a home purchase, and until I can finalize those details (hopefully within two weeks), I won't be able to turn my attention to packing and moving. If you find you can do something similar closer to my proposed move date in February, I encourage you to get back in touch later. Cheers. (1/6/2009)
Question:
HELLO, PERHAPS AMOVER CAN HELP. WE CAN PICK UP YOUR GOODS NEXT WEEK OR LATER AND STORE UNTILL YOU ARE READY FOR DELIVERY. I WILL PLACE A BID. CONTACT ME FOR ANY QUESTIONS. ROY/AMOVER (1/6/2009)
Question:
Hello, My name is Jerry, an owner of SAG Industries Inc. We specialize in transport of household goods and vehicles. Please see our Uship profile to view other large household moves we have completed for customers just like you who turned to Uship to find a quality mover at an affordable price. Please begin at http://www.uship.com/profile/SAGindustries/ by viewing feedback posted by past Uship customers’ giving testimony to their experience working with our company and their level of satisfaction. We transport all of our customers’ cargo in a 42ft enclosed trailer w/ climate control, 110V lighting, and alarm system. Rest assured that your job will be handled properly and professionally from start to finish and that all of your prized possessions will be insured at full value at no addition cost to you. We provide daily e-mails for tracking the location of your goods in transit and provide a 24hr phone number for customer service. Please let us know if we can count on this job. ~SAG~ (1/8/2009)
Response:
Jerry, Thanks for taking the time to review my listing. I'd be happy to consider a bid from your company. Please note that my listing includes storage for a now indeterminate amount of time, but likely no more that 2 to 6 weeks. Do you have a facility to store my shipment for that period of time? Will my goods need to be offloaded into storage, or stored in the container they are shipped in? I should know more about moving dates and storage term within a week to 10 days. Thanks again for your interest. Cheers, Tim (1/8/2009)
Response:
Tim, We would be competitive on price. Do us a favor please. Send us an e-mail when the time draws nearer, just before you are ready to choose who will hire, and we will give you a price at that time. We can provide storage for your items in a 10x20 storage unit for a monthly fee of less than $100 per month. Also, we cover all furniture and misc items in 84lb thickness moving pads and then plastic wrap over the moving pad with industrial strength stretch plastic. We imagine we can find a middle ground with you on price and are confident we can do a good job on your move. Thank you, Jerry ~SAG Industries Inc~ (1/8/2009)
Response:
Jerry, I believe I sent a bid request (still trying to reckon how to navigate this site) but I thought I'd try this as well as I now have firm plans. I have a great bid already, but our schedules may not be lining up perfectly - I just wanted to give you the opportunity to bid you requested a couple months ago. Cheers. (3/12/2009)
Question:
We previously e-mailed you and asked you to contact us nearer to the time when you are ready to make a firm decision, and just before you make a final decision on what company you will hire. When that time comes, please contact us directly through this site by requesting our bid on our Uship profile and we will promptly respond to your request. Additionally, we request that you take the time to review our profile page at http://www.uship.com/profile/SAGindustries/ if you have not already. Doing so will allow you to view the jobs that we have done for past Uship customers and read those customers’ testimonies to their experience with our company and their level of satisfaction. We at SAG Industries Incorporated thank you for your time and hope that we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement with you when you are ready to make your final decision. ~SAG Industries Incorporated~ (1/9/2009)
Question:
when did you want your things picked up? (1/10/2009)
Response:
Unfortunately, I don't know yet. The move is contingent on a new job offer, which is moving along slower than expected. I had hoped to have a firm date this week. It now looks like it may be another week (at best) before I can firm up my plans. My best *guess* based on what I know today would be a pickup the 3rd week of February. I still expect to have to store the shipment for an as-yet undetermined amount of time, but anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Thanks for reviewing my listing, and I hope to have good information soon. Cheers. (1/10/2009)
Response:
i can pick up the 3rd week and store for a month for 1600..and then if you need storage longer than that it would be 175 a month (1/10/2009)
Question:
OK, had a chance to look at dates and storage info, etc. Right now it looks like pick up could be on the 12th or 13th. it looks like you want stor longer than 2/3 weeks? Also as I answered your recent question, storage is at my home on 1 acre property with alarms, dogs, cul de sac, upscale neighborhood, etc. ROY (3/11/2009)
Response:
Roy, Thanks! I can do the 12th, but I'm supposed to vacate that day, so it's cutting it close. Since the 10th is bad, how does 4/9 look instead? If I have to go to the 13th, I can, but I'll have to extend my tenancy to do so. Regarding storage, the actual term is dependent on pending escrow, and I'm sure you know how that goes. In a perfect world, the bid I plan to put in next Monday is accepted the same week. My bank wants a 45 day escrow, which means the soonest I'd have a delivery date would be the end of April, which is only 2 weeks from pickup. But that's best case scenario, so it will likely be a week or three more. I believe you previously quoted $185.00/month for additional storage, which is quite fair, especially if you have the ability to pro-rate weekly. Last, can you quote actual value insurance vs. release value (I'll formulate an actual value in the days to come)? I'm checking with my insurance agent about my current coverage, but want to explore all options. Cheer (3/12/2009)
Response:
Hello, How about we go in the other direction then. Right now I could pick up on the 5th or 6th of April. And this too is subject to change as I scheduale more jobs and people jump around like jumping beans. Everything is very fluid. Requarding insurance , as this format is too cumbersome. We can discuss that after acceptance by phone. (3/12/2009)
Question:
I think AMOVER is best for you as he will keep on truck at yard so no unload to storage and reload/unload to residence...Good luck... Mark (3/12/2009)
Question:
I have an active bid but also have a bid request from you I believe...What's your thoughts and what did you need and I'll try to accomidate.Thought AMOVER has good bid as it would stay on truck rather than store then reload and deliver...To double andle into strorage is a little more but I can do that... Mark (3/12/2009)
Response:
Sorry, I think I pressed the wrong button somewhere. Yes, thank you for your vote for AMOVER, I agree that's a great deal and hope the scheduling works out! Sorry again about that spurious bid request. Cheers. (3/12/2009)
Response:
WHen you book AMOVER let Roy know I recomended him in your move...Thanks,Mark... (3/12/2009)
Question:
Mark..Thank you for the kind words,Roy/AMOVER (3/13/2009)
