Question: I will also include your dog in that price. (11/18/2009)

Response: Hello there,
For some reason I am not seeing your bid. Are you headed out to the west coast in that time frame? How long do you expect to be? Very interested in speaking with you.
You take 50% cash at pick up and 50% at delivery? (11/18/2009)

Response: I am dropping a car off in Cincinatti on the 8th. I have not bid yet. Would you like me too? (11/18/2009)

Response: Would you be towing this as I stated? (11/18/2009)

Response: No I would drive the car and bring the dog with me for one low price. (11/18/2009)

Response: I am not sure that I responded, but the car needs to be towed somehow and I would be willing to pay more if both go together and it was towed, do not want it driven (11/18/2009)

Question: Shipper, I may be able to take care of your dog, boxes and car. I have a single car hauler plus a box truck. I have my own dog who travels with me everywhere, so I know all to well how to care for an animal on such a long trip. Are your shipping dates pretty firm?
I invite you to view my profile and welcome any questions you may have. Best Regards, Steve.nicsauto (11/18/2009)

Response: Hi Steve.
Where would my dog ride, up front with you and your dog or do you have a cab for her to sit behind you? That is my first concern, she will not be in kennel or in back of truck.
What dates work for you and what kind of $ are you thinking?
Thank you,
Angela (11/18/2009)

Response: Angela, On this type run, your dog would take the seat of my dog whom would stay home. Depending I guess on how well she/he is with strangers. My truck has no passenger seat, having been removed to accommodate my dog. My truck is an E350 van/box with a cut through that leads to the back. It is my motel. Normally I carry one motorcycle and one car. This leaves plenty of room. Price wise, I would likely bid your max. And knowing the uncertainty of the weather patterns along a northern route this time of year, the sooner the better. I am based in NC, however, the trip to VA is peanuts compared with the distance of this entire run. Thanks for getting back with me. Steve.nicsauto (11/18/2009)

Response: There is not room for you to take your dog as well? Is it female or male? I hate for you to have to leave your dog at home....so if box van, then there is nothing in the back but your "home" and the dogs can hang out back there or just sit up front.
When are you seeking to do this? (11/18/2009)

Response: First forgive the reference to VA...I had another shipment on my brain...My dog is young and too territorial likely for them both to travel. Not to mention it will be far easier to care for your dog alone. And yes, with the possible exception of a motorcycle, the back of the box is where I sleep. Alot depends on the nature of your dog and how well he/she can travel. But with the cut through, your dog would have the luxury to move around. My dog is only 35 pounds so he moves easily, but spends most of his time in the front.....Although based in NC, getting to Ohio is a fairly easy run. I am currently headed for Richmond and the completion of a run. I would likely wish to start this right after Thanksgiving.... (11/18/2009)

Response: My dog is very submissive, goes to daycare, so I dont think there would be a problem from her end if you were ok, again just hate for you to leave your dog. I also will probably give her a calming sedative just so she doesnt bug you...she is a lab!
My car cannot be picked up until 12/5, not sure if that works for you. When I have done this before, I did 50% cash on pick and 50% on delivery. How long do you anticipate it would take you based on pick up of 12/5? (11/18/2009)

Response: At 8 years old, I don't think the sedatives would be necessary. Bearing in mind that I am a right-lane driver, i.e., I do the posted speed limits, and taking in to account rest periods over the distance, I would hazard to say easily inside of 5 to 7 days. Weather of course playing a big role. (11/18/2009)

Response: Okay, so I need it delivered by the 10th, and how much were you bidding again? (11/18/2009)

Response: I've been noticing you lowering you $$$ as we have been engaged in this Q & A. Your pickup to delivery is 5 days, not allowing for any delays. I will give some thought to the logistics of this shipment to include the needs of your dog and will bid at a later date. This is a specialized request you are making, i.e. Dog and car on same shipment. Once loaded, the car will only require an occasional check on it's security. Caring for the dog will be 24/7 the entire route. Let me give this some thought with regards to what I would consider a fair bid, and will place that number once I've done some math. Best Regards, Steve.nicsauto (11/18/2009)

Response: Yeah I did change it and when you placed the bid, it was at $900. Let me know what your thoughts are and get back to me tomorrow if you could. It could be picked up the 4th, but I need delivery by the 10th.
Thank you! (11/18/2009)

Response: Forgive me, but I have not placed a bid yet. I first saw the listing while it had a "book it now" of $1100 which was when I started to ask questions. Being a single car hauler, my capabilities cannot rival a 3 to 10 car hauler. Thus my cost per mile cannot be spread as thin. It is also why I can provide more personalized service catered to such a request as this. I will keep this on my watch list, and will check back periodically. I am currently in Indiana bound for VA. I also recognize that the car would now be available as early as the 4th. Since I drive mostly at night, an afternoon pickup on Saturday the 4th would have me on the road for the destination immediately.
(11/18/2009)

Response: Okay, I didnt realize I had it at that, but okay. I lowered in based on feedback I was getting seperately on dog and car, that was aside from talking to you. The 4th is actually a friday....and maybe you can find something to pick up near this direction on the way out there to PNW and make it double worth your while!
Lets stay in touch through the week.
Thank you so much! (11/18/2009)

Response: Will do. I would like the opportunity to make this a successful run for us both. Best Regards, Steve.nicsauto (11/18/2009)

Response: My dates have changed a little and my dog is traveling with me. I am not sure where you are at with your travels, but was going to let you know so you can make a bid since I spoke to you first. (11/23/2009)

Response: Thanks again for staying active with your post. I am afraid I will have to back away from this one at this point. I am glad you have made arrangements for your dog, and in this instance, one of the "multi-car" haulers will be able to provide a more competitive price than I. Best luck with the move. Steve.nicsauto (11/24/2009)

Response: Great, thanks! (11/24/2009)
