offers PC*MILER as an online tool for its participating carriers.
PC*MILER is the transportation industry’s standard for routing, mileage

uShip offers a straightforward, consumer-friendly interface that
enables a user to enter what is being shipped, where it is and where it
needs to go. Potential carriers then bid for the work.
uShip began operations in 2003 and now lists as many as 10,000
shipments at any one time. Typical shipments can be furniture, boats,
motorcycles, farm equipment, horses – almost anything you can imagine.
A carrier might be one person with a pickup truck or a major commercial
motor carrier with a large fleet.
Carriers can quickly search available shipments for appropriate
business. Notably, the uShip interface enables them to search along the
route of a dispatched truck that has space available. PC*MILER enables
carriers to bid for shipments which will make the most efficient use of
trucks, drivers and fuel.
