I am a photographer who likes to drive cross country...I always take my camera with me in my van/truck when traveling...I have been doing this for the past 6 years when I first started installing my high end darkrooms around the country. I have completed over 1200 local/cross country hauls so what you see here is a fraction. I tend to have a "can do" approach to the needs of all and to some would simply make things happen when others would say "this is too much trouble". My rates are all relative to size, weight and man power needs and each load is evaluated differently and in tandem with others that are sharing the truck. When I take a trip I always have room to spare and that's how I found u-ship. This has helped to defray the costs and has become a great way to see all 48 states and produce a growing portfolio of landscapes images of our great land. I encourage all to give as much detail as possible regarding their needs and make the bidding process sincere and transparent.

This was my last pick up in NY before heading out west. I ran out of blankets and the truck was practically full. I went into lowes and got packing materials for the chairs. I am mentioning this because I tried something new in terms of packing. I used a long roll of floor cushioning that is reusable and is better than blankets and can be applied to flat art work as well and can replace bubble wrap which is more expensive and not as wide. thanks for the kind words. thzig

After communicating directly, I am not comfortable with this Service Provider Today, I was ready to pay. The provider did not communicate with me during these 10 days to let me know he was picking up extra items, thus cutting down my 5' of space to 4'. I can not afford to have my belongings left behind. Poor communication has led to this cancellation.

There was a change to the shipping price or terms that could not be resolved Shipper was requested to forward a deposit on the day that he accepted the bid. More than 10 days went by and shipper promised a number of times that he would forward the deposit. I am not comfortable moving forward.

After communicating directly, I was not comfortable with this customer. The customer required full service pack/wrap for a large amount of fragile & valuable items (blanket wrap not applicable)that required additional labor/materials and my bid was for loading service+1 60" TV wrap. The customer did not accept the terms of the bid.

"escape from new york" working title; this started out as a flat screen tv move and evolved into a full blown move with 5 pick ups in 2 states and 3 boroughs of NY. Mark needed to get out of NY fast and go back home to reorganize his life. Mark did not know how much weight he had and I took the risk of taking it all. The truck was overweight and I ended up taking a load out of the truck and bringing it out on my next trip.
