I am a photographer who likes to drive cross country...I always take my camera with me in my van/truck when traveling...I have been doing this for the past 6 years when I first started installing my high end darkrooms around the country. I have completed over 1200 local/cross country hauls so what you see here is a fraction. I tend to have a "can do" approach to the needs of all and to some would simply make things happen when others would say "this is too much trouble". My rates are all relative to size, weight and man power needs and each load is evaluated differently and in tandem with others that are sharing the truck. When I take a trip I always have room to spare and that's how I found u-ship. This has helped to defray the costs and has become a great way to see all 48 states and produce a growing portfolio of landscapes images of our great land. I encourage all to give as much detail as possible regarding their needs and make the bidding process sincere and transparent.

'thzig' shipped my apartment items and car from boston to san fran. As soon as I accepted his bid, he called immediately and started planning for the move. I appreciated how communicative he was...it made me feel like I could trust him. He arrived on time and loaded the truck professionally. On the other end, he delivered my items on time as well. I would recommend people to double-bag their mattresses as mine were a bit dirtied from the move.

Shlomo did a fantastic job, moving a somewhat fragile 1920's era china hutch, and 5 boxes of china and crystal from my parents home in northern NJ to our home in northern CA. He was utterly professional and polite with my octogenarian parents, he kept in contact and arrived exactly when he said he would, and the shipment arrived in perfect condition. Great service. Fair price. Highest recommendation.

Shlomo complained about every aspect of the move making the 30 minute experience so much more unpleasant than necessary. do not mistake this "man with a truck" for a professional and curteous movers service. He whined about how far he had to drive, parking his truck, the distance from the elevator to the apartment. Demanded $20 extra for a box he claimed he put smaller items in, but that I never actually saw. And still had his hand out for more when it came time to pay. Don't bother with him

Ms Craig's listing was at best not complete and at pick up had far more items than listed as well as requiring additional packing for loose items that were placed in a large "c bin" as witnessed by her contact. 2 pick up attempts were made since Ms Craig's contact forgot to show up for the first pick up. At my discretion I decided to proceed rather than cancel in an act of good will. Ms Craig has not paid for her add ons (which dwarfed her listed items)as well as the aborted pick up.
