i've been driving people and their stuff cross country for over 5 years--i've moved people coast to coast and everywhere in between--the only state i haven't driven to is Hawaii--i price my bids on the low mpg estimate for your car from http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ i then calculate the cost of gas by researching the highest price for zip codes en route through http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/gasprices/--if i need bus tickets i add in the day of travel price of a greyhound ticket--finally figure out how much i am willing to drive for--i do the best i can to have all of these factors fit within your target price--finally I estimate the time to drive at 65mph--divide that number by an 8/hr driving day--to give you an estimated time of arrival--of course weather permitting--i always require the cost of gas and bus tickets up front--i'm a non smoker, am very clean and only drink water in your car--i'm a driver not a trucker--thank you for considering me--references available on request
