WE WERE INFORMED THAT THERE WAS AN ON GOING LAW SUIT OVER THIS . WE CONTACTED SHIPPER AND WAITED 4 AND HALF HOURS WHILE HE TRIED TO SETTLE THIS MATTER. WE HAD TO MOVE ON SO WE KEEP OUR OTHER APPT . Shipper did not have chance to communicate with me until he called me Monday morning from pick up site. I had no way of knowing he would be there that quick. When he called I toldd him I needed to wire the funds to get truck released and that would be done as soon as bank opened. I gave him my sons number as I would be in meetings and unable to communicate with him. He did not seem to have a problem. Apparantly he then told m Response from kartow: WE PLACED BID FOR PICKUP ON MONDAY MORNING 8-17-09 PICK UP WITH DELIVERY ON 8-17-09 OR 8-18-09. WE ARRIVED AT 7 AM WAITED TILL 7:30 AM TILL PICK UP SHOP OPENED WE PLACED SEVERAL CALLS TO SHIPPER STARTING AT 7:OO AM DID NOT GET A RESPONSE TILL 8:30 AM SHIPPER STATED HE HAD TO WIRE MONEY AND WE HAD TO WAIT.WE WAITED TILL 10:00 AM STILL NOT PAID AT THIS TIME. CO HOLDING TRUCK TOLD US TO GET OFF HIS PROPERTY THAT THERE WAS AN ONGOING LAW SUIT WITH THE OWNER OF THE TRUCK.WE WAITED TILL 1 PM THEN LEFT

No one pays me upfront and I agreed to have cash or cashier's check for him when truck arrived. he shuold have stated then that he was cancelling. I now have a customer that is expecting his truck to be picked up Monday and now he won't. Not very nice. Response from lafountain: Lenney you accepted a bid wich clearly stated 50 % up front and 50%at the other end .And as far as your customer not getting the truck picked up.CLEARLY YOUR OWN FAULT .next time read bid before acceptance.Dont just assume you can change payment options to suit your needs .I would not send a driver to get a truck that I dont know if we are going to be paid .At that point my driver would still need to get paid the 50 % up front was good faith money enough said .Peter LaFountain
