The service provider has just in formed me, on the evening before anticipated pick-up, that for personal reasons he is no longer able to make this trip. I notice that there are two other people who posted similar notices today, having been canceled by lakerats.

TOTAL NIGHTMARE They picked up our 34” HDTV on 1/23 in Austin and were to deliver it to my sister in Chicago by 1/28. My sister did not refuse payment; they just never showed up. IT HAS STILL NOT BEEN DELIVERED AND THEY WON’T RETURN IT TO US. I called & emailed immediately after delivery was not made & did not receive reply until 2/21 (3 wks later), when he let us know that he is holding our TV hostage at his house & won’t “release it” unless we pay “ransom” of $276. Use at your own risk.

Response from lakerats: Yes total nightmare for us we gave them a decent bid to deliver this TV all the way to Chicago.We came through on our part of the deal we delivered this TV to Chicago we drove through a bad snow storm to get there and we called her sister that was supposed to pay for shipping and she refused to do so said the shipper was supposed to pay for shipping. After she tried to get me to drop off the TV and wait for a check, which I said no I needed payment before I delivered the TV. She informed me that

This shipment was shipped on an open trailer. It arrived in very rusty condition. The tarp was off, the poly wrapping was blown off. It had been standing in the open for at least two weeks in the hauliers yard in Austin. The owner of "Turner transport" had never contacted me or offered any apology for the lateness or condition of the delivery. He seemed rather vague. there were parts loose and parts missing from the Grinder. this was outrageously bad service. The machine may be ruined. call me

Response from lakerats: The shipper knew it nwas in an open trailer I had it tarped and took the tarp off at the drop off location. I did say I was sorry for the Lateness of the machine and did tell him it was in the yard in Austin while I went to a funeral in Lubbock for my stepmother. If the machine is missing parts then they were not sent with it. I delivered it all the wat from NJ and did not get paid shipping. Lowell
