My name is Jon Heltzel and I am owner-operator of Heltzel Transport. We offer personal, door to door service on your shipment that you would expect to receive. Based out of Portland, Oregon, we service all west coast states and have experience shipping equipment, classic cars, parts cars, and general freight via open flatbed. We are professional hotshot transporters, with full insurance, covering your shipment up to $60,000, and general liability of $1,000,000, all registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We have late model Dodge trucks that always keep us rolling, as in this business, reliability is job number one. He said his driver quit that was suppose to deliver my car in an email to me he sent at 11:48 pm the night the car was suppose to be delivered. He said he couldn't ship it until the end of the next week so I might want to relist it. I emailed him I would rather just have him ship the end of the next week & asked him to call me or email me back that day to let me know. I asked t Response from jdheltzel: I was in california at the time this occurred and had no ability or any responsible individual's to help me out. I have learned since then I can only rely on myself and to cancel bids I won't be able to perform.

I want my money back and all expenses related to his contract that he accepted shipping. I informed the shipper before I accepted his bid that I need the vehicle by a certain time. He assured me that he was able to accomplish this. On the day of pickup, I found out that he wasn't going to be able to pick up the truck, stating that his driver quit. We then made other arrangements that he would pick up the car on thursday and drop it on friday am. As of today wed Response from jdheltzel: Tried to recover this deal but was unable to do so due to delays on other pickups putting me behind schedule. Takes a lot of time to drive across this country and sometimes things don't work out, and better yet, some people have no concept of reality. Things happen. I am just happy that the driver that I set this job up for won't ever be able to put me in this situation again.
