After researching this for over a month, I have decided to give this a try. In the past 3 years have driven both OTR for a national carrier, as well as local P & D. I work full-time, and have a part-time job during the week. My service would primarily be limited to my weekends off (2) per month. My equipment is simple, to defray costs. My tow vehicle is my personal 1999 Dodge Durango. My trailer is an enclosed 6x12 with a rear ramp door. Barring natural disasters and/or circumstances beyond my control, you can be reasonably assured your shipment will arrive promptly, safely, and undamaged. My personal auto policy allows for basic liability for my cargo. I really look forward to getting a few shipments under my belt. Not only for the money, but for the feedback. As my initial and recurring costs are much lower than the bigger providers, I can probably come in with a lower bid. I may be able accomadate longer shipments if given enough notice.
