Anyone can present themselves as a transportation provider. The only way to LEGALLY move goods for hire (for money) regardless of registered weight is to obtain an MC (motor carrier) number from the federal government. Illegal haulers (and your items) are subject to impound when caught by the police and the DOT out on the road. Ask your service provider for their MC# BEFORE you commit.

I read the other feedbacks and I see that I am not the only one that thinks Doug puts your mind at ease and is a pleasure to work with. For a task that causes some anxiety; getting something from one place to another, Doug is the person to go to for a job that is both professional and personable. Doug is amazing!!! He is the best shipper by very far, he 'saved' me from 4 other lame shippers that backed out leaving me stranded at the last minute many times. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help me safely get my shipment across country. He's so nice and a real shipper! Will definitely use him again. Highly recommended!!!
