We sell and transport sailboats up to 38', very good rates, dealing with sailboats since 1976. Storage and light repairs for sailboats also. CDL/HAZX/Doubles/Tankers, insurance, over 30 years experience. Sell Sailboats, 22' and up 40', insurance damaged, Repo, or undamaged sailboats, usually 30 to 60 sailboats available. Retired USMC in 1987. I have own sailboats from 1975 to today, my personal boat is a 1984 32' Chesapeak Sloop, and I will treat your boat just like it was my own. We use a 2008 Chevy C-2500/2005 Ford F-350 dually and a 2009 3 axle sailboat trailer rated 19,000 lbs to pull all sailboat boats. We accept cash, other ways, and uship payments. Please do your boat prep, step mast, breakdown the spreaders, wrap the mast, roller, and the spreaders, remove any canvas, remove the boom, repove any kickers, lock all hatches, do not top off any water, fuels, etc. Any archs need to be removed. Owner changed from no rush to a rush, loaded and delivery with 2 1/2 days, 2400+ miles, the boat was boat prep by the owner/marina and locked up the boat, unknown contains, such sails, boom, riggings etc, the owner had a very large canvas cover with mildew and owner wanted shipped, but not on his boat (smells), it was a surprise to me,moved anyway. I usually don't move extra items not listed in the listing. Fast payment. Thanks Stephen

Hail Stephen ! The true test of great hauler experience is when circumstances beyond you or your haulers control are handled in a calm and professional way. Although we had some issues with the pickup marina (unanswered calls to confirm his arrival)and the delivery marina (who informed us while the boat was 4 hours away they would be unable to unload it)Stephen stayed the course and kept me calm while I searched to find another marina to take the boat. Great experience with a true professional.

Stephen did a great job shipping my boat. It was loaded properly & arrived in great condition. He's well experienced, knows what he's doing & is easy to work with overall. He did have a delay beyond his control but the set back was not unmanageable. Communication on pick-up schedule/delays could be improved, but being new to boat ownership & transport also heightened my sense of urgency. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Stephen in the future. Thanks again.

Professional all the way. I highly recommend using Mr. Ratliff to ship your sailboat. I had very high expectations for the shipment of Lady Ann and every one was met or exceeded, including timelines. Great care was taken to ensure she was loaded, moved, and unloaded properly and without damage. Steve even helped me tie her up in the slip after she was put in the water. Stephen provided excellent service. I was especially pleased with the care he gave my boat and the price he charged. No one could come close to his price. On the way to the marina the day of delivery, I noticed an 18 wheeler laying on it’s side on I44, the same route he took from the other direction for delivery. He managed to get his little pickup truck hauling an 8500 pound boat through a storm that a professional hauler couldn’t. I would trust him with anything after that. Good luck Stephe

Stephen did an excellent job loading and delivering the boat. The boat arrived in excellent condition. The biggest problem was communication. Many emails went unanswered. Voice and text messages went unanswered. Hurricane Sandy disrupted the schedule, delaying pickup, but then Stephen did a poor job of communicating his schedule to the marina. He gave them short notice and they were unable to accommodate him, so pickup slid over a month. Bid accepted 10/17/12, boat finally picked up 12/10/12.

The owner has a unrealtic view, two times I tried on a short notice, the owner had a death in family, we reschedule to help with his problems, I would not use Gavin again, he has also failed to pick up boats in the past, beware of his charily term in listing.

A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved Hello, Owner cancelled the appointment at last minute, I was in route from TN to Jacksonville to load his boat. I moved another boat from Jacksonville to LA. (I lost 2days sitting in Jacksonville due owner last minute cancellation). I haven't had any boats back to FL area. A scheduling conflict arose that could not be resolved My fed/state licnses and my DOT/MC IS ACTIVE, never had a problem, my bid was very clear, and, the canadian guy is very mess up, he was talking on uship with a another illegal mover and accept my bid, he learned later, the owner see the revoked DOT/MC OF the other uship illegal mover record. He didn't want use the illegal mover and the owner wants to ship a cradle with boat,,,,and i don't ship cradles,,,,,,,I should not to be the one to pay for the cancellation due the owner mistake,,,Thanks

The customer misrepresented the shipment, and I cannot service it Matt said he wasn't a broker, he agree with bid offer with 1/2 dwn before loading and balance in cash upon delivery. LIAR! Truth,,,Matt is a boat broker and works for Marine Direct USA , Matt collected the full amount from the owner in OK. I gave Matt several options to pay the 1/2 dwn, cash, or wire. He want me to delivery without no payment and get me to collect at delivery in OK. He was trying to keep the transport money ($3000), screw the owner in OK and me when I delivery the boat. Thief!

(2) bidders (1) me copter75 had all licenses VERIFIED but I don't move cradles (2) the other illegal boat mover had all licenses REVOKED by the USDOT,,,,the owner accepted my bid without reading my info (Note: I don't use or move cradles), owner wanted to find a legal mover can move cradles. No Detailed Feedback Available After communicating directly, I am not comfortable with this Service Provider The service provider requested full payment before arriving to collect the boat after a month of delays via bank transfer , when I said I would not pay before his arrival to collect the boat he sent me an e-mail telling me I was a broker violating some kind of agreement when in fact I am the seller of the boat , I think the provider is looking for yet another excuse not to show up after repeated delays and frankly I do not trust his services anymore , I guess the saying you get what you pay for

Matt said he was not a broker (and not the owner), he accept the terms of 1/2 dwn pmt/ and balance at delivery. LIAR, he is a boat broker, he refused to pay the 1/2 dwn pmt. Matt recieved a full pmt from the owner for shipping, he wanted me to collect from the owner at delivery, screwing me and owner and Matt keeping the full shipping money. Thief!

Owner email me and told me he was buying a house and can not offer to move the boat, almost 6 mos no info from him, after the sandy storm, his boat is NY, call me and he might want to move the boat, said ok, 3 months past, no contact since, I request a cancellation, over 9 months waiting the owner,,,,,,,,,,,

Liar, We received over 60 emails and 37 calls, some times 2 or 3 a day, warn about storm damages (Sandy) his boat is in NY delays, but refuse to cancel, but harassment from him was his own faults, I would not deal with him in the future.
