The shipment was to be picked up between 3 and 4 pm. By 10 Pm I called to cancell the shipment and was told the driver was 15 minutes away. He arrived at 11:30 PM. Way too late for a mover to do business in my opinion. We called him many times and were told within an hour. We went through with the delivery as we were out of town and a relative was waiting at the house for him to come and did not want to inconvenience him further.

Response from boxcarNY: The shipper left the table and chairs on her porch to be picked up by me anytime, since she left her residence to travel out of town. I scheduled this pickup to be my last as I was returning to NY from a long day of pickups and deliveries in Mass. which took longer than I had anticipated. Such is the nature of this type of business. She was concerned that the items would get wet if it rained but it hadn't.
The set was delivered to her daughter in Delaware on time, without any problems.

I had privately contracted another driver who had not shown up or returned phone calls after a very long time. After I contracted this driver through UShip to pick up the item, I learned from the seller that the first driver had picked it up recently. Problem was they all forgot to let ME know. This driver (boxcarNY) did nothing wrong. And his pricing was excellent. I will save him as a "favorite" and hope to be able to use him again in the future. I apologive for the inconvenience.
