Customer cancelled after communicating directly – did not feel comfortable moving forward.
I have been packing and crating pianos for 17 years. My packers know how to pack a piano. the shipper insisted on the packing being done his way but with no change in price. Further as I explained to him I could not give him a tracking number until the freight is booked for ocean transport. I cannot book it until I know the dimensions after crating and the revised weight. The shipper does not want to understand this. He now knows the name of my packer and can bypass UShip altogether and ship.

In remedy to this he acc

I have been packing and crating pianos for 17 years. I proposed to wrap the piano in bubble wrap, then card board, and then a wood crate. I never had a chance to complete my bid because the owner of his piano would not release it to me. This shipper is not familiar with the requirements for shipping by ocean and with registering with U.S. Customs. With every accepted bid with UShip the shipper must have some trust that the vendor they have chosen is capable of doing the job. We are very capable
