I am a Full-Time Professional Delivery Skipper with 190,000 nautical miles offshore experience on 140+ deliveries. I have spent the last 15 years delivering yachts for major manufacturers and charter companies. I have a British MCA 200 ton Offshore License with Sail and Power Commercial Endorsements including STCW '95 and TWIC. These credentials are accepted by most maritime flagged nations and insurers in all waters. This license requires intensive on-water training and instruction as well as an extensive classroom curriculum and examinations. There is no higher qualification in the industry. The US Coast Guard only requires passing a multiple choice test and administers NO on-board competency assessment whatsoever. Experience: 4 Trans-Atlantic, 1 Trans-Pacific, 70+ US-Caribbean, plus numerous Coastal and Great Lakes deliveries. Previously I spent 20 years on the racing circuit, notching 64 overall victories.
