Dan did a great job. He was professional and able to accommodate our limited timetable. I would not hesitate to use his service again in the future.

Dan and his Son keep in contact during delivery of Piano. Traffic was the biggest problem, they closed one of the tunnels in Virginia Beach but they kept their cool and delivered the piano. I would recommend them for any Piano Moving.

Dan did everything within his power to insure that the piano arrived safely and in a timely manner. I appreciate all of his work and the time and energy that it took to get this delivered.

All (communication/scheduling) was good up until delivery. Piano arrived with indentations/scratches on both sides and front corners due to the tie-down straps being too tight. I called to give him the opportunity to resolve. Unfortunately I was met with "the piano wasn't worth shipping", but I paid for "white-glove" shipping, not an appraisal. He asked for pictures - two emails were sent a week apart. No response was given so I was forced to make a claim and was awarded the settlement. Response from SteinwayDan: First, there was no claim. Second, the piano was at best a $50 non functional upright that had been seriously scarred before we ever moved it. Look at the pics in the original auction description. (Seriously, go look at the auction listing and expand the pic.) There are ALREADY scuffs on the arm of the piano in your own picture and description... the same scuffs you claim we put on it. Clearly an attempt at feedback extortion.
Customer wanted the move for nothing.

I was happy with EVERY aspect of this transaction. Steinway Dan made me feel confident that he would show up when he said he would. Called ahead of time to confirm he was coming. He called when he was supposed to, was very accurate with his estimated time of delivery, delivered the piano quickly, and put it exactly where I wanted it. I would recommend him to anyone...he really was that good.

When attempting to unscrew first leg using a heavy rubber hammer they were tightening instead of loosening and broke away part of leg. It was a stupid mistake by the owners son who was in charge of the job but did not seem to know what he was doing Response from SteinwayDan: We picked the piano up within two days of booking, delivered WELL BEFORE time promised by, yet they left horrible feedback for us, including promptness and communication. (we were in CONSTANT contact with them. He was almost OCD about the phone calls) Move was much more elaborate than they had detailed. We provided 3 men on this job. Part of leg (on 150 yr old piano) came off when we unscrewed it and we get blamed. We should have provided some metameucil with this move, I believe.
