While my UShip profile is new, I am not. I’ve been in the Transportation business for over 20 years. I am not a broker, I am a DOT licensed freight-forwarder which is somewhat different. In addition to having access to the same fleet of hundreds of trucks you see mentioned by the brokers, I operate a ‘Dispatch Service’ for a fleet of 100% owner operators. These carriers utilize me to do their ‘load searching’ and bidding because they don’t have time to sit around on a computer doing that. Each is a well insured, DOT registered, top quality service company covering virtually all of the ‘power lanes’ in the country. Essentially, I’ve done the homework for you, taking the headache out of ‘shopping’ for the right carrier. When you use me to arrange your shipment, you ARE working directly with the carrier.
