Freight Center had two months between the time I accepted their bid and final shipment to inform me of the cost per pound for additional weight. Through the course of e-mails, phone conversations, it was never mentioned even though I informed their rep that the door was being built in Mexico so I was guessing at the weight. I didn't receive the BoL with the terms until after the final payment was taken by FC. The surprise bill came in at $483 and was charged to by Visa without my permission.
Response from freightcenter:
You are welcome to dispute the weight, but you will need a manufacturer specification sheet. We will submit the dispute on your behalf to the carrier.
