How Do I Get Started?

Please sign in to your uShip account.

About uShip SMS
  • There is no cost from uShip to use this service, though message and data rates may apply.
  • Message frequency: No more than 30 messages per month.
  • Must be the account holder or have account holder permission to participate.
  • Campaign / service is compatible with most handsets.
  • Supported carriers include AT&T, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless. Not all pre-paid phones are supported.

Service Providers - What can you do with SMS?
Submit uShip Payments codes

Once a customer has given you a uShip Payments code, you may submit it via SMS. Text the keyword "PAYCODE" followed by a space and the payment code to "USHIP" (87447). You will receive a confirmation if the code is validated (you’ll receive an error message if anything goes wrong).

  • Example:
  • Send to: USHIP
  • Message: "PAYCODE 12345"
Update your STATUS

Update your uShip Status to let your customers know what you’re up to. Simply text the keyword "STATUS" followed by a status shorter than 160 characters to "USHIP" (87447). You will then receive confirmation that your status has been successfully updated on your profile (you’ll receive an error message if anything goes wrong).

  • Example:
  • Send to: USHIP
  • Message: "STATUS On my way to Austin, TX from Los Angeles, CA. Hoping to make good time."
Update your LOCATION

Update your Location to let your customers know where you are. Simply text the keyword "LOCATION" followed by an address, city and state, or ZIP code to "USHIP" (87447). You will then receive confirmation that your location has been successfully updated on your profile (you’ll receive an error message if anything goes wrong).

Shipping Customers - What can you do with SMS?
REPLY to listing questions

Reply to questions about your listing directly from your mobile phone. Simply text the keyword "REPLY" followed by the question number and your answer to "USHIP" (87447). Keep the answer short and sweet – if your message is longer than 160 characters, it will not be received by uShip. You can turn text notifications on or off from the Communication Preferences section of My uShip.

  • Message received: uShip?-nicktest1-2010 Nissan Altima Car-When is this item available for pickup? What kind of budget are you on?-Respond w/ Reply 3
  • Send to: USHIP
  • Message: "REPLY 3 This Item is available for immediate pickup, but only in the evenings. My budget is $500."
