We have had lots of damage to our scooters using traditional freight carriers. It appears most of it is caused by moving palleted shipments in and out of trucks at terminals, with careless or uncaring fork lift operators. Pallets damaged, parts bounced around, axles protruding from pallets, damage to carton and even steel frames. You can't package our scooters and make them 'bullet-proof', even though we have tried. Commercial trucking freight handling reminds me of the old Samsonite luggage commercial with big apes throwing the luggage around and promoting the rugged construction of the Samsonite luggage. Well, we can't possibly package our scooters in a way that is unbrakeable; instead we choose private carriers that both pick up and deliver our merchandise in a careful considerate way. It is picked up and delivered by the same driver, so there is no finger-pointing as to who caused the damage (if there is any). The carriers use trailers or vans specifically outfitted to haul scooters. No packaging, no steel frames, no heavy pallets. Instead our customers receive our scooters ready to ride; completely assembled and prepped. Thank you Uship for providing this service.
