I just wanted to say a little something about dealing with Kurt at Summit transport. I am a Canadian and bought a Salvage (severely damaged) truck in Maryland. It was a good deal and I thought it would be easy to find an outfit to haul it out West to Montana. after making some calls, to the well known carriers and some brokers, I had a few quotes of $1,200 to $1,400 dollars to get it done. I said ok, and the carrier said they would post it and when a truck was available they would send it my way. Well after almost 2 weeks of nothing happening, and me paying $25 dollars a day to store this thing, I was getting fed up. I searched the web and found Uship. I listed my vehicle and within a day I had a response! Fantastic. It was Kurt from Summit, telling me he would be coming my way in just over a week.
I explained to him my situation about the shipping and the stoprage... he said no problem. I can get a truck down there in the next day or so and get it out of there for you! Summit (Kurt and his team) picked up the truck, stored it for free for about a week, and then reloaded it when they were coming out my way. It doesn't get any better than that! Remember this was a severely rolled truck, that didn't run, so they had to use a come a- long to load it... Twice! Kurt kept in touch the whole way, let me know when they would be in Montana. He was bang on with the time, he was professional, helpful and here's the best part... he helped me load it onto my trailer in minus 45 degrees celsius.
Kurt deserves a good pat on the back as well as if you do business with him, he will not bullshit you. He called a spade a Spade, and did everything he said he would, and more.
I would strongly suggest you use Summit and Kurt next time you have any hauling needs! I certainly will!
