i first saw katrina, my new horse, in an ad. she was a beautiful horse and needed a new home, due to terrible allergies with the humidity and grass on the east coast. she was being treated with acupuncture and herbs, and her 'mom' wanted her to continue to receive this treatment.
i had been looking for an azteca for a while, and knew this was a perfect match, an answer to my prayers, for i have a degree in oriental medicine, and could continue to give her good treatment! i also live in the southwest, so it would be nice and dry for her out here, so she could be healthier and happier.
this was a really hard decision for her 'mom', who loved her very much, but knew she needed to go where she wouldnt be miserable in the summertime. we talked on the phone several times, and really connected.
i contacted uship and put out my request, because of what a great reputation they have, and received some good bids. i was a little nervous, because i had never shipped a horse before. i contacted the different shippers, and although it was a hard decision, i chose doneright hauling.
cheryl was very helpful and kind, and made me feel very comfortable and secure. rick made a very good impression on katrina's mom, and we really enjoyed getting to meet him too. he took the time to walk katrina around a little bit when he got here, and made sure we were all set.
we are enjoying katrina very much, and are grateful to have her here!
