For months, my husband and I shopped for a boat on the west coast, where we live, but could not find the boat we were looking for at the price we wanted to pay. We decided to look at ebay. I've been buying on ebay for many years and it can be risky. We've bought two cars on ebay and my husband flew down and drove them back. No real problem! The boat we really liked was on the east coast outside of Charleston, South Carolina. That's was 2700 miles from us. With the price of fuel, driving there and back was not an option. We looked into renting a moving truck and towing it back one way. This was still pretty costly with the rental of a truck and fuel, plus incidentals. I noticed people talking on ebay about Uship. I decided to post this shipment and see what kinds of bids I would get. I was looking at three different boats in three different states on the east coast. I posted all three shipments to help me determine our top bidding price on the boats. As time wound down, we decided that the great bids we got for shipping through UShip far outweighed shipping this boat ourselves. I communicated with several of the lower bidders and tried to ask important questions. We decided on one and although it was a little unnerving, being our first time and all, we decided to move forward with the Ushipper and based a lot of our decision on the feedback that others had left for this particular shipper. We actually flew out to Charleston and met the shipper. (We decided to make a little vacation out of the event.) The shipper arrived on time and was very professional. This allievated a lot of our fears. The boat was delivered to our home when promised and in excellent condition. Our UShip experience was fantastic, no complaints, and we will definitely use our shipper again if needed.
