We have a small antique shop in Rome, GA and sold a table to a couple from Ohio who were passing through town. They really wanted the table but couldn't take it with them. They thought that shipping could be arranged later; we had doubts. Well, after many quotes and many calls, it was becoming apparent that the cost and time frame were just not going to work. We were at the point of refunding the buyers money when I happened across Uship. The buyers were extremely anxious to get the table as they ran a Bed and Breakfast and had a upcoming event whcih required extra seating. Initially, I thought that it would takes days, if not weeks, to get an attractive offer, boy was I astounded. I entered the offer on the 23rd of October and received a 3 bid within hours. I accepted the best bid which just happened to be a fellow from Ohio who was just 15 miles from Rome. He loaded up the next morning and delivered the table to our customers the very next day. The customers were very pleased as the bid was less than they had expected to pay and they received their purchase in such a quick and easy fashion. They called and thanked us for such good service. We really can't take the credit as it was the Uship system that saved the day. We have avoided selling larger antiques to traveling customers because of the shipping problems. Now, with Uship, we will have an opportunity to increase our long distance sales.
