I am a novice with no experience in sailing or in managing vessel ownership. I contacted local boat haulers who were competitive with uShip but who were tentative about making a trip from LI, NY to RI. From the first contact, which were e-mail questions through uShip, to the delivery this morning, I was treated professionally and almost like a family member by OSMT. Telephone calls and his assistance led me to modify how I accepted delivery and I am more than happy with the results. In taking ownership of the sailboat I am slowing learning about maritime process and procedures. Today I learned how one week in maritime talk means 17 days. Thankfully that was not how OSMT treated my order. It was accelerated and completed in the most efficient manner. Yes, I would consider using uShip again, especially after sending my son off to college three years running. There has to be an easier way. Maybe uShip has a solution.
