I needed to pick up a boat that I recently purcased that was nearly 700 miles from my home port. I was going to do it myself but choose to see what the going rate would be to have someone else do it. I'm very happy I did. It did cost me about $400 more than if I was to do it myself, however if you figure 700 miles, pulling a nearly 10,000 lb boat, not my idea of fun. You also need to factor in that if would have been 1400 miles round trip, that is easily a two days on the road. I'm glad I just had it moved w/ no hassel or time wasted in a pickup when now those two days will be spent on the boat!
