I wanted to purchase some older fragile windsurfing equipment. Shipping bids from the usual companies started at $80 and went into the hundreds due to dimensional weight considerations. As the equipment (windsurf booms) weighed in at just about 10 lbs, I decided to try uship.
Within one day of posting the advert a person bid $60 on the shipment, indicating that he was driving from the sellers zip down to East coast coming right by my place. I decided that that seemed perfect.
The goods were picked up about 2 days later, and dropped off 2 days later at my house.
Amazing service, and the seller didn't even need to box the items up.
