I had to ship a 300 lb scooter or go pick it up myself. I considered actually going to pick it up myself with a friend and truck because of the outrageous shipping costs I feared. I heard about uship from a very business saavy friend of mine. I looked into it as "maybe" it would be competitively cheaper than doing it myself. I was extremely pleased to find that the price for the service bid came in so low that I was able to even choose a bid slightly higher than even the lowest bid! Don't ask why I choose the slightly higher, perhaps I felt guilty? Or perhaps I felt I wanted to give the slightly higher bidder a chance at competition because the lowest bidder was obviously a VERY well organized and insured shipper... and I know about competition. I sometimes help the underdog. Besides this shipper was also very very well praised. It arrived on time, with even a curtesy call before arrival in a well cared for manner. Shipping is no longer a mystery out of my hands... it's now a "good deal to be agreed". Love it!
