Hey, what do I know about shipping a 6 ton boat across the country??? As it turned out, I didn't need to know anything...just described what I needed to have done, posted it, and then picked a carrier who had great feedback (even a nearly identical load carried across the country in the last 3 months) and sat back to let the experts do their job. How else would I, in Michigan, find a hauler experienced carrying large boats across the country? Instead of spending hours on the phone with dozens of dead end leads, I had them coming to me and got to pick one who simply was a small but experienced operation. Watching these guys load a secure the boat was nothing short of great, simply because it was so obvious that they had done it before, knew which end was up, and I knew it would be well cared for by the time it left.
