I live in NY State and purchased a stage lighting truss on Ebay that was located in Arkansas. I had a connection with a national moving serivce that said they would pick it up for free. That wasn't working out, so I investigated shipping companies online. They all wanted about $1000 to ship it. Then an online friend suggested I check out U-ship, so I did. With very little effort I listed my freight and it wasn't too long before I had a trucker willing to deliver it for $400. I did not accept the bid because of an outside chance that my offer for free delivery might still work out. However, when I finally realized that the free deal was actually a deal to deliver for $600, I regretted missing out on the $400 offer. Also, time was running out and I needed the lighting trusses delivered quickly. So I relisted the trusses for quick delivery and it took only 2 days befoe I had another offer for $400 to deliver the freight. To make this story short,things worked out fine, I received my trusses before I needed them and I have since recomended USHIP to others.
