We contracted with Mike Garrett of Southern Maryland Moving to ship some furniture and boxes from Buffalo to our second home in South Carolina. I was tempted to rent a U-haul and I was very fortunate to find U-ship. Mike had to eventualy turn back after trying to make his way through the massive snowstorm the week before Christmas. We re-scheduled the pick-up for the week after X-mas, which was picked up on time. I drove my family down, encountered fog, and drove through one of the worst rainstorms I have every expirenced. The whole time I kept thinking, there is no way I could have driven through this safely with a trailer hitched to the back of my Denali. After that drive, I realized how truck drivers are under appreciated and under paid. As far as I am concerened, they earn every dollar they are paid.
